custody question???

I was thinking today while I was at work....I have a friend dating a married woman...the woman is well....??they meet before school(college they both go to)and it's like twice a week and that is the only real time they spend together....I think the whole situation is dumb ....(I know how can I say that when I dated a married woman once also?right) well it was different circumstances,he knew about me,she left him....and well she tried to see me all the time,..But anyway It made me think about alot of things...how often is it that lesbian's lose custody ...just because of there sexual preference???I am thinking ALOT...99.9% of the time????I mean look at that Demi Moore, movie strip tease I think???she lost custody just because she was a dancer and that dad was a bad one??I was just wondering what everyone thought,JO

I really couldn't say why lesbian mom's lose custody of there children. In my opinion it the idea that a child must have a female and male. I think that doctors (mainly psychologist and psych's (no offense meant) think that the child needs that balance of that type of atmosphere. But I think two women and two men, can raise a child just as well as a man and woman could. That's just my beliefs and .2

You're welcome, Jo, earlier when I posted I was starting to get real fatiqued and my spelling was terrible. But I has been my personal experience with my ex, when I wanted to spend holidays with her and my daugther, I couldn't because of her parent's screwed up ideas about who should be in their granddaughter's life, but when it came down to it, when she needed medicine and money, who do you think they called? they called me and not her dad. Even my ex's father admitted that, out loud! And what made it even sweeter, my daughter let me give her, her medicine, I could have jumped for joy! I felt as though I could have taken on the whole family court system, if given the proper challenge! lol! But, I don't believe that whole world is close-minded, just those folks that don't believe in new ways of bringing up a healthy and happy child. I can really admire celebrities that can keep their child(ren) and I respect Rosie and Melissa, mind you, but it seems that money talks and you know what walks. But, I can feel the winds of change coming along, I have a deep belief that things will definately be different. But in the end, I know that I'm the "dad" and not just some guy that "played" at being the dad.
I've heard it said that, any man can be a dad, but it take a real "man" to be a father.
