I had a weird dream as well last night, and thank goodness it was not real (nor the same as yours doo doo doodoo...)
now being in a civil war (the fundies are coming!) and shooting up a booby trapped hutch in which a radio started playing (an apparent lure into the booby trap) is about as far as I wish to go in dreams. I've never, ever had one involving a weapon before, and it spooks me.
An earthquake dream would um... shake me up, too. My former sil was in the San Francisco one in 1989, and she said the worst part were the aftershocks waking her up at night.
...you didn't see Lou and Nony hiding under your bed shaking it, now did you? ;-)
OMG nurse! I had the same experience (just a little different thought). One night about 7 years ago, when sweetfeets was only a few months old, I woke around 3am and went outside for a cigarette. The weather was really bad, and it took me like 137 tries to successfully light my cigarette b/c of the wind. It was also cold, so I was hovered in my little corner of the porch when I heard that freight-train noise a tornado makes (a noise I'm all too familiar with). I peered out of my corner and saw the twister across the neighbor's hay field, approximately 1/5 mile away. I remeber saying "holy TOS" and running inside, scooping sweetfeets out of his bed (ex was away out of town that night) and running into the walk-in linen closet. I woke the next morning with sweetfeets still sound asleep, in the linen closet. I went outside to see what kind of damage had been done. Nadda. Turned on the tv (power was miraculously on) to see if the twister made the news. It didn't. I even called around, asking others if they'd seen the twister, but noone knew what I was talking about!
I wish there was a "hmmmmmm" icon, b/c no I'm not convinced it was a dream. If I had never been through a tornado (or 3 or 4), I would have passed it off for a dream the next day. But, all of nature's symptoms were there that night - the wind, the way the sky looked, the circular motions the trees were making before I even saw the twister, etc...It's just so wierd.
Oh, and that would have been ex on the bicycle that turned into a broom.
I had a dream (what a great line, have to remember that, except mebbe use "have") in college... or think I did... there was this huge *boom* that set me up out of a sound sleep. No thunder that I was aware of, asked people the next day, no one heard it. Loudest damn boom I've ever heard... mebbe.
Whoa! Are you sure you wasn't having a real experience as seen in the Exercist? J/K!
I'm glad you and Maggie are ok, though.
Hugs,

You know that you must find a new place to live or a new roommate when...
You are awaken by your bed shaking, which is coming from the commotion caused by your roommate chasing her daughter on the condo roof.
:) (I'm being jovial)
Seriously, that does sound very scary! I don't blame Maggie for snuggling around your neck.
If it's a rocking...don't come knocking! Sorry, I couldn't resist. The phrase was a guilty pleasure. LOL

When you looked out the window of the flying house, did the bicycle turn into a broom? And no, I was not on it!
So are you convinced it was a dream?
