The Social Security Administration is rejecting marriage documents issued to heterosexual couples in four communities that performed weddings for gay couples earlier this year.

The agency is rejecting all marriage certificates issued in New Paltz, N.Y., after Feb. 27, when the town's mayor began marrying gay couples, according to town officials.

Hey nony, I can agree with you. I'd like to see the attitude with the married, straight couples in my church. This ought to be fun, but now they will see how unfair they have been in their attitudes against gay marraige. I guess it's the snot in me too! So you're not alone. This really ought to be a hoot!

You know what, Pam. I don’t think this will create any backlash. I don’t think any reaction will ever come from this unless it hits their home. Of course, if this infringe on their wishes, they’ll have a narrow focus on how this will affect them. They won’t even consider the effect on the gays.

Gay marriage was a non issue. I know, I know…all 12 states struck down the bills for gay marriage but majority of openly gay candidates was elected to their office across the country also. Maybe living in MA is giving me a tinted rose color look on this issue; all the candidates that backed the gay marriage act were elected to their office in this state. I really do think majority of people is sick of being told gay marriage is a big issue. I think people want to step away from this issue for a while. I think at this stage, it’s between the conservative vs the progressive that’s worked up over the issue.
