Hey everyone! I got home late last night and I am still exhausted. Obviously there is a lot going on, and a lot I missed while I was away. I won't be around much today, I'm recruperating from the trip and making up for lost time with my woman. But I just wanted to let you all know that I made it home safe and sound. I'll post later today or tomorrow and tell you about my adventures.

Hugs to all!

This is not intended to attack you but I need answers. With Pam gone, who do we go to for help when you are not here? From my point of view hosts should be here 100% or at least 99% of their time. I really don't mean or need to attack you. I am just wondering who is the back up when you are not here. I don't ask for much but when I do, I expect someone here.

Hey,

I'm new here and would like to reply to the idea of being here 100-99%. No offense okay?

I have taken time to read many questions, and advice that CL's and other women have given on this site and others. I'm impressed at the support that all the women give; they are intelligent, experienced and have a lot to offer you, even though they are not CL's. I don't think that posting on this site and not having a CL 100% of the time, is going to stop people from giving you the advice you need.

CL's need just as much support from you, as they give to you and others. Please recognize that they have live's as well.

That's my take. Now for a big question since I'm new,....do they get paid for being a CL? Perhaps I don't fully understand the roles that they play; in all fairness to your comments.

I completely and totally disagree with you. Respectfully, of course.

I love this board and the people on it. And I am, and will continue to be, an active and visible face in this community.

However, that said, that obligation does not encompass me being here "100% or at least 99% of the time". I have a life above and beyond this board. I have a family. I have pets. I have a household to help keep up. I am very actively job hunting and will soon be working a full time, and probably demanding, job. I will not sacrifice time and energy from my real life because of an unfair expectation that I will be here "100% or at least 99% of the time".

I have just recently returned from an emotionally draining and tiresome Christmas trip and am still mourning the loss of our sweet Kirby-kitten. I will be less than a full time presence for the next little while but I check the board often for spam and TOS violations, even though I don't post to everything.

Courtney, Again, I am so sorry about Kirby. I think you and Pam have always spent way too much time on the boards. You girls are always here, taking care of us all. It's no wonder Pam is leaving, I don't know how you girls do it. I, for one, appreciate that security and your presence -but completely understand if you can't always be here. I have posted at other ivillage boards and most of the time you can hardly tell who's "running" the board. This board is better than any other - but will continue to be if you and Pam and our new CL, whoever she may be, can't post daily. You not only post daily, you both reply to every thing posted. You have both performed well over and above the call of duty!
We love you both!
Take time for you, we can all pitch in and keep the board moving right along. Each of us has a unique and intelligent perspective to any problem that finds it's way here -we can take care of eachother.
