So plans for New Year's?????Going Out ???Staying in???drinking not drinking????

I myself will be going to my buddy's house 2 hours away....with another friend..I am taking my alcohol but not intending to use it(much)...maybe a few drinks,I hate those massive hang-overs.
This is my friend that directed me to ivillage and told me to check it out...she is having a depressing holiday this year and I actaully elected this over the gay club cause I kind of think she needs me and it will make her feel better...she is such a strong loving person that I hate to see down and out...and I hate new years when I am single (not sure why) so maybe it will cheer me up as well.....tell me of your plans ladies......Happy New Year,Jo

Hey Jo,

What's the roll call post your talking about?

I have no plans for my New Year. Last year I went out alone and got sick after two beers. I can tell you I was singing "There's a Tear in My Beer..." New Years Eve is when I first met my ex, so the local bar's bring back bad memories. This year I will hang out w my kids if they have no plans. But, before I begin to celebrate this year, I need to deliver a policy to a friend of mine; thank god they are not turning down this valuable policy!

I'm sitting on top of some very exciting news that I absolutly can't tell anyone. Isn't that horrible? Some day maybe I will be able to spill the beans about a dear friend of mine. However, with the good news comes bad. The girl of my dreams is moving way across the United States, and we will now be on opposite shores.. ;( I'm in love and well, enough said about that.

More good news that I can say for 2005, is that it's going to be my year to shine. Refferals are coming my way, and that's the nicest feeling when people get to know you and develop the trust and credibility that you need in my business. This brings great relief to me, cuz there have been many days in 2004 where I wondered deep inside if I was in the right business. Everyday I would read my checklist and remind myself that quitters will never achieve success if they stop now. So, I kept swinging my baseball bat, and like Babe Ruth, I am finally starting to hit the ball!!!!!

So join me in a toast New Years Eve, remember me at midnight and tip one over for me...) I will think the same for you, and wish you and everyone on this site a Happy New Year! Thank God 2004 is finally over!

Well, thanks for asking Jo, I was going to go to a friend's house to have a drink or two, but unfortunately, her boyfriend had other plans. But that's ok, the day isn't over yet! I might go to the booze store, and maybe get myself some wine or sparkeling champagne.

I might just go down to the community room and spend some time with the other residents of my building. Then after I've gotten pleasantly toasted, I'll probably call my girlfriend up and maybe have a very, very, very intimate phone conversation. Weg! But, as I have said the day isn't over yet and my plans might just change. But on Saturday, I might go and hang with my best friend, and I'll probably get toasted all over again, and then call up my girlfriend and have another very, very, very intimate phone conversation. Weg!

Hugs,

Sebastian

Original plans were to spend it with sweetfeets and shoot off fire crackers in the country. But, as usual, ex is being a butthead and I might not get to do that :-( ....Oh well, maybe next year. I have been invited to a few parties, so at least I won't be alone. As a friend from another forum said - "Go party, get drunk, sin and repent". That sounds like fun (would rather be with my baby though).

every great journey begins with one step

As for Mack and I, it is our first New Year's together, so we'll be spending it just the two of us here at home. Mack is awesome at making cosmopolitans, so we'll be just having a few cocktails.

For me, this time of year is really hard. It marks the 2 year 'death anniversary' of my mother and quite honestly I am not in the mood to do much. Id just rather be quiet at home with my other half.

I wish you all a fabulous New Year's Eve..I wish for you all to have a wonderful time and be safe!!
