I have missed everyone so much.
We stayed at Sheila's Mom and Dad's for a week and never made it to my sister's due to bad weather and also the fact that Sheila's Dad was so sick for awhile there. Finally they gave him 2 units of blood over an 8 hour period and the next day he was like new. It was amazing. He is doing therapy this week.
We took the puppy with us because she is so little and spoiled. She came with us to the hospital and Sheila's dad enjoyed holding her and petting her. Somehow she new to be on her best behavior and quite when we were at the hospital. She recieved alot of attention and visited with other patients.
The other 4 stayed in the kennel and had all their shots done and were groomed.
We exchanged gifts with Mom and Step Dad the other night. Everyone sent our gifts home with them.
I am getting more photo and video and editting work through word of mouth. I have a year long project with 2 comedy clubs as well as they talked me into coming back as a regular MC.
We spent a quite evening at home just the two of us and the dogs for New Years Eve. Sheila had to work until 5 and then again New Years Day until 7. We had a nice dinner and desert and talked about when we met, 8 years ago this month on Sept 17.
I am glad to read that everyone had a good holiday and made it home safely!
I am still shocked that Pam has stepped down. I can sure understand though.
I am so behind on the board and will take some time to catch up.
I have missed you all so much!
Hugs,
Laurie

Lee, of course I missed you. How could I not miss my Lee.
Yes, Sheila and I met and started telling each other how we felt in January. We slowly got to know each other over 6 months then in July we made it official.
We moved in together in August.
We both say we would be so lost without each other. I truly feel blessed to have found my true soul mate.
I cannot believe the things going on here. I will be missing our dear Pam soooo much!
I guess I just don't understand what happened.
Courtney will do well as always with the board and I read that caly has put in to cohost so I know things will be fine. I just hope Pam comes back as a memeber. I sure will miss her.
It was very nice IMing with you tonight.
Take care of your self. Sheila said take the Drixoral. Her doctor recommends it for the best over the counter meds for colds.
I have missed you Lee,
Hugs,
Laurie

Hi rj,
So the L Word bug has bitten you. How do you like it and what do you think about it? I can't wait to hear.
I so love rootbeer too!
I just bought a 160 gig external hard drive for my Mac. I need to start saving movies and photos on to it.
So now I have over 200 gigs of hard drive and very much need it with all the moovies I will be working with. Also alot of audio.
Now about that sexual stimulation, are you talking about the L WORD or have you met someone??
Okay I will await your answers.
I missed you.
Hugs,
Laurie

Hey Laurie... Happy New Year!

It must feel really good to finally be back home, and to know Sheila's Dad is recovering well! I'm delighted her dad is doing so much better. Glad you're back ~

160 gig external! I'm jealous! Darn it Laurie- you got it all! LOL (I'm being jovial). You got the Mac and an external hard drive!

My stimulation is coming from watching The L Word. I could only be so lucky to have a date. LOL

The L Word is HOT! I love to see the women kiss. I love to see them undress. Except for the character Shane, all the women look like women. Really, Shane isn't as butch as the lesbians around here. (In these here parts--LOL) (I'm being cute again). Butch women don't turn me on. So, if the show consisted of a bunch of butch women, I wouldn't be the least turned on. Butch just doesn't do it for me. I guess one could question how realistic the show is. But, hey- I want to be entertained, so I'm not concerned about realism. I mean, if they were to film lesbian life where I live, we would be all cutting our wrists. (dark humor) LOL

To me, The L Word is far tamer than Queer As Folk. I can remember the first time I watched Queer As Folk, my mouth stayed open the entire episode. I was so shocked at the content. After watching QAF, I feel like I need to attend confession. I watch The L Word, and I feel just fine. Well, a bit horny. LOL

If I ever get lucky, I'll let everyone on the board know, so we can begin building our bunkers for the end of the world. LOL (dark humor)

I hear that Rosie O'Donnel will be on the next Queer as Folk and she is going to have a crush on Sharon Gleis.
Not sure how true it is, but I think it would be great!
The new L Word season starts Feb 20th.
I am glad you like the L Word.
Trust me it gets steamier.
Sheila and I always joke about them doing a midwestern lesbian show. None of this L.A crap!
Once you get out of the hill jack town you will meet some nice lesbians.
You can come up here to Indianapolis where there are plenty of jobs in your field and bazillions of lesbians.
Take care and hugs,
Laurie

RJ,
I love butch women! The bigger the better....
Isn't it funny how people perceive beauty?
I really need to watch QAF and the L Word, although now I don't know about the L word, lol!
One night Jen and I decided to look up lesbian porn online, they were all "shopping mall" girls, ewe. Then were tried using the word "butch" and all we got were girly girls like me except they had really short hair, ewe again.
If I want to see a sissy girl I can look in the mirror. I think I might liberate myself today and go get my hair all cut off. I have been growing it back for over a year, my hair was cut like yours, I want it that way again.
I am femme, but I hate this hair! How's that for a daily crisis - not too serious for once!
Have a wonderful day RJ!

Sandra,

I personally have never been attracted to a woman who looks masculine. For me, that is what I term as "butch." Take Cindy Crawford for example- you could dress her in J Crew (men's clothing), and she would still look like a woman. I find that appealing. I find that to be a turn on. I don't consider myself to be butch though. So, I guess if I ever get lucky, my relationship will be termed by some as a girly-girl relationship. But, that's okay.

As for the hair...my hair is short because I don't have time for it. But, after school is over, I may let it grow out. I can sport an 80's hair band style. Then, if I get lucky, I can sing an 80's power ballad to my grrlfriend. LOL I can buy some cheap guitar and bust it to pieces right before her and I get into a lip lock! :)

RJ, Sorry you studied those chapters and can't return the book, at least you have it as a refrence book! And you learned something. You can still take it to the book buy back at the end of the semester for a partial refund - right? How frustrating! When I went to college I never used an advisor after my first semester. I didn't trust them more than I trusted myself. I followed the catalog and enrolled online. I can proudly say I did it in 3 semesters, plus one summer class. I took no extra or un-necessary classes. I couldn't afford errors like that. I paid for my stuff, unlike many of my fellow students who were getting free rides so they would enroll, drop, fail, etc...they didn't care since it wasn't their money.

On the cliff comment, well - I'll email you on that one.
Hugs, Sandra
