I didn't have room for all of it,lol....not sure I'll be around the board much longer myself....It has ,I feel changed,or maybe I have...not quite sure....
I spent last night with friends who love me....a child I helped my friend rasie for a few years when she needed me...I have had time to think and will be thinking more this weekend I am sure...I think it is time to get more into my job and more serious about my personal life,my life off line...it is time for me to get off-line and start meeting people....I would like to meet Ms.Right before I am to old to enjoy her..I'm sure I'll still check in yet the board feels different now,has a different vibe...not sure where I want to go with my life right now ,but think it's time I firgured it out....happy new year everyone and god bless everyone...hugs,Jo

The board feels different, but change is inevitable in life. Different doesn't have to be bad. Pam will come back, as a member, I am sure of it.
As for getting away from the screen and meeting people - I completely agree with your friends on that one. When you have found her, come back and tell us all about it!
Hugs, and luck to you.

(((((Hugs Jo)))))) as Sandra said, change is going to happen, you know that I am sure as well as others, but as Sandra said it doesn't have to be bad, probably uncomfortable yes..But we can make uncomfortable~comfy~ if we work at it.. Many new people coming in, some other long time ones leaving out, but new people can bring who knows what our way?... perhaps some very special happenings,we won;t know unless we try, and well the older time on board members well hopefully they'll pop in now and then..
I do hope your ventures off line prove satisfactory and you find much happiness.. I hope you'll pop in once in awhile and say hello..Also e-mail now and then ~K?~
((((Hugs you cutie))))))"CAT" Haaaa Edited to add an ~R~*Wink

Well, Jo, I don't think anyone can get to old to enjoy anyone, yes the board does have a different vibe, but I know that as a friend, I still love you and I would like it if you could still come around.

We are still the same ladies that you met when you came around, even though there has been some slight changes.

But, if you must go, please know that I for one will miss you, and I hope that you will be happy when you come back.

Hugs!

Gigi

The thing about messages boards like Life is that people come and go.

Caly,

I think you've done a splendid job the past couple of days. I commend you for taking the sword!

Pam's departure rather shocked my system. I'm just now getting back to my old self. I'm glad she's doing what is best for her. She deserves it.

I awoke this morning to find my car covered in thick white stuff. I had to immediately take it to a car wash. Stupid rednecks did something overnight. I'm assuming fireworks that blew debris all over my car!

If it hadn't been for Pam leaving, I would have probably taken two more semesters to finish school (among other things). But, I'm staying registered as is. I'm registered for 4 courses, which will finish me up. Graduation May 2005 or die. Two of the courses are 8 week courses. So, actually I'll only be doing 3 classes at a time. However, I'll have to be at school Mon-Thurs night, which is something I've never done. I feared overloading myself with a full-time job. But, I've decided that if I have to live here more than 6 more months, I'll jump off the nearest cliff with my white flag. So, I'm plunging into it deep with the spring '05 semester. I will not be avoiding the board, but I doubt I have time to take a wiz, much less other little things. So, my posting may be here and there.

((((((((Caly)))))))

Okay, back to The L Word.

Cheers!

RJ,

I am glad you decided to take all the classes and finish up! Good for you brave girl, you CAN do it! You are going to be tired, and at time overwhelmed, but it will be worth it. Then where do you think you will be moving to?

Hugs, Sandra

Well Jo, I know I recently told you that I didn't really plan on being around the board much anymore either. I kind of felt changes happening awhile back, and I've been scarce for some time. But ya know, like others have said, change isn't always bad. It isn't always good either. Sometimes it's just somewhere in-between until we find a different *groove* and keep going.

I can definitely understand your wish to expand your life beyond the screen. We are still young, but won't be forever *sigh*. I've rethought my decision to stay away from here totally, as I've said before I'm not one that deals well with change. I threw a fit over the board format changing, but I hung in there! I still miss the "old style" of LL, and I'll always miss nursepam as a daily inspiration on this board, but I'd like to try and find a *groove*, so to speak, and keep posting here as much as possible. I guess I'm just the red headed step child of LL that just won't go away (not totally, at tleast). I have all the confidence in Caly as a co-CL, even though she's not Pam, she can bring so much to this board because her heart is in it and she love us soooooo much *grin*.

Even if you do decide to stay away for the most part, I do hope you continue to pop in with your crazy adventures and IM me whenever you "see me". You're a cool person

Hey Sandra,

I haven't decided yet where I'll move. It will be most likely where I can find a decent paying job. I have thought about Asheville, NC and parts of FL. I'm not much into big cities. I would prefer residing in a medium size city that offers a rich lesbian life. Asheville is just that. Asheville has two gay/lesbian bookstores, a gay/lesbian jazz restaurant, and a lesbian coffee house. It also offers a lesbian friendship club. On Christmas day, the lesbian club held an open house at one of the member's homes. I would have the opportunity to hopefully date some there. I'm not crazy about snow and Asheville is located in the mountains. Snow and not a high need for tech positions will be my challenge with Asheville. If I were a nurse, I could obtain employment easily with a sign on bonus at that. Apparently nurses aren't into living in Asheville? LOL

I'll get more serious about where I'm moving when I begin applying for jobs. If all goes well, that should be late May.
