changing.
Change can be a good thing.
Pam needs to do what is best for her. I hope she will pop in and keep us company when she can.
Courtney has always done a very fine job here on the board and Caly has always pitched in when needed.
We have been seeing many knew people and I welcome you all.
We want our board to continue to grow and stay alive.
We can all still come here and feel like we can talk about things we need to vent about or just get off of our minds or just whatever.
I think it is best when we do not say mean things to each other. This is supposed to be a place for all lesbians to come and feel ok to discuss anything they need to.
We need to keep supporting each other and keep our comments non judgemental.
I for one think this board needs to and will continue to be the best board here.
We are lucky that the board continues to grow instead of die.
I just want us all to continue to support each other and keep this a special place.
I have really enjoyed getting to know everyone and I know I will enjoy getting to know the new people.
I believe our CL's are wonderful for us and we will be just fine. Soon everything will feel right again. Things always do after changes, the change becomes the norm. So let's all pull together and keep the board alive and supportive.
I think we can manage. We have good people and good CL's.
I love you ladies and want this board to be comfortable for all of us.
Hugs to all and welcome to the new people who are joining us.
Laurie

I miss you too Kim, I mean I do enjoy your wry sense of humor. I like the articles that you post. I enjoy trying to make you blush, but only Courtney has that priviledge. But I do consider you a very honest person, and I have great respect for that.

Hugs!

Hi Kim,
I guess I just don't let that stuff bother me. I guess if I were a CL or seeing what a CL must go through I would probably be more affected.
I just like to come here to read the threads, Post, and make a few cyber friends.
I also enjoy the supportive people on the board and I enjoy supporting others.
Some people just go through bad times or bad days sometimes and I like that we have a board to come to and vent etc.
Sorry you are having a negative feeling here. I have missed your posts and funny comments etc.
Hope to see you back soon.
You said you are not a huggy person, so I will give you just a quick hug and run.
Laurie

Thanks Kim,
I can understand your point.
I know it is hard to be or feel nice when someone else is not.
See you around when you can get here and good luck with your work.
Hugs,
Laurie

Hey Laurie,

I lack two vital characteristics required to be a CL of this board.

1) I don't have enough experience.
2) I'm not very good with people. (unfortunately. I would like to improve that. Actually, I have gotten better over the years, but still could use some improvement.)

You know what I liked most about Pam? She could give advice that gave you direction with a lasting effect of confidence. You know that takes talent! Forgive me- I don't want to bother you with one of my sob stories, but when I was a kid, my dad would get drunk sometimes, call me in the kitchen and say to me, "Kid, you'll grow up to be nothing. Your stupid." I don't know why he felt the need to do that. And, please- don't reply and say your are sorry, because I'm not telling you this for that reason. But, once Pam mentioned on the board that she thought I was smart. And you know, that made me feel so good! I look up to her and it felt good to think that she thought I was smart. I think of Pam as a mentor.

Dr. Phil says that it takes alot of "That a boys" to make up for one "Your stupid" (or another unnecessary negative comment made to a child). But, Pam's nice comment to me erased more than one "Your Stupid" past comment.

So, I guess what I'm trying to say here is the job of a CL can be very rewarding. Imagine what kind of impact you could have in someone's life. I know that Pam has touched others as she has touched me. I wish we could have given her a going away party.

I dont have to be a CL here to know you are smart and funny 8-) and think you get along with people just fine, though I know what you mean in that sometimes that is hard for all of us.

I have been a CL over at the Depression support board for almost 2 years and would love to be a Co-CL here if iVillage allows it.
