Razor burn, help....

Does anyone know how to make razor burn/bumps go away or prevent it? I dont know what has changed but since I had my daughter every time I shave (anywhere) I get it really bad. It seriously makes me not want to anymore but I am not about to go there! I have tried several different razors and creams but no luck. I used to be able to shave with baby oil and not get it but now even my underarms are bad and I have never had it there before. Any suggestions are very appreciated!

I know for my bikini line I have used a white conditioning deoderant (like Dove) over where I shaved and avoided razor burn. Once it's there though, I don't have a clue how to get rid of it. OUCH.

I hear that applying an antibacterial cream (like Neosporin) along your bikini line right after shaving is supposed to help. As for underarms, I have found that using Dove deodorant is more moisturizing and helps a bit too. And change your razor often so it's nice and sharp. As for shaving lotions, the one I find to be the very best is "Kiss My Face Moisture Shave" -- "Aveeno" has a new one that isn't bad, but KMF products are awesome, in my opinion.

I didnt find that sticker there but I did find a ring that we have been looking for so thanks! I am kinda afraid to put anymore stickers on my car. I took them all off cause I kept getting all the bad drivers aimed at me. Since I took them off I havent. SO maybe by the time I find it I will be ready again. I am also looking for a rainbow frog sticker for my car. I love froggies...so if ya know where I can find one let me know!

Hi Mandi,
You can make your own bumper stickers with your computer and magnetic paper(that way you can take them off or you won't have the sticky stuff on your car) Then just print them out. They sell the magnet sheets at I think, I got them at Staples.
As for razor burn I am not sure what to tell you. My hair stylist always puts Sea Breeze on all the sensitive areas to stop the swelling etc., it burns like hell for a bit. I always have a hot wax for my eyebrows and face. I hate body hair, but you can move to Spain and never shave again.

Laurie

You might give aloe vera a try, preferable fresh but the health food store can provide you with a good alternative.

2 things I do, is shower or bath BEFORE I shave or shave during to soften the hair, and I use Bikini Zone Gel (which is mainly Lidocaine) when I shave 'certain' places but Im sure you could try it else where. Not sure if it would be too much for your legs but be great on underarms I would think.

Well, personally, I love my body hair but it does get on my nerves sometimes, especially below my waist. But I'm used to my facial hair, the only thing I do with that is I trim in down with a pair of scissors. I usually use shaving cream, yes shaving cream, and a safety razor to shave off the sides of my moustache. Of course, I do shave along the "grain" and never against it.

Hugs!
