We all have an impression of what the person looks like behind a name. Lets play a game of how we see the person behind the name. For example:

Before seeing NursePam’s picture, I imagined her as a petite woman with dirty blonde hair. In my mind’s eye, I thought she might resemble that actress, Staphanie something, on a Bob Newhart’s show. The one set in VT. I thought Pam would look like this petite woman but in a candy striper outfit instead of a white, nurse’s uniform, somehow. Don’t know why. I’m not sure I even know how a candy striper outfit looks like. Pam would be like the nurse on that soap opera show General Hospital. The one in the background observing everything and propping the pillows up, not the nosy ones. *L* Of course, I’ve never seen an episode of GH either but I imagine that what the show is about. At least that’s the kind of clips they show on the Emmy! I only watch the Emmy for the dresses!*L*

Anyway, that’s what I thought Pam would look like before seeing her pic.

What do you think Pam? *g*
Miss you here. I hope all is well and a smile is on your face.

Anyone know where’s Van? Has she been around? Hey, Van, Heidi Klum wants to know where to send your Victoria’s Secret. You left so quickly!

Hmmm, I always picture you Gigi, in a sort of Native American ensemble, with long shiny black hair, mysteriously slanted eyes, sitting cross legged, imparting gentle wisdom to all who came seeking. LOL...I wasn't far offw with the Native American part. The name got that image going.

Mixes: hmm....well I'm African American, 1/4 part Cherokee, and a little bit of Island Flavor is in the mix. I've often been asked if I was from Jamaica lol...I was able to trace my father's heritage back to Nassau. And the rest is surely Heinz 57.

LOL...I love the diversity of people!

Awwww, well thanks for sharing that. I do have short, curly hair, but when it grows it's thick, it holds heat, and it gives me an awful headache! So during the summer, I get it cut short which is why I appear to be male. lolol! But, I do try to impart gentle wisdom, when asked. My mother, who is African American, named me after the musical, "Gigi". She said if she had a girl, then that's what I'll name her." Hence, my name! lol! It sounds so femme! ewww, lol! Anyway, when ever I hear the correct pronunciation, I cringe. So, I say to whoever the unfortunate person, that says it that way, I simply smile, and say,
"Please, just call me Gigi." And then, I stop blushing and calm down.

Hoooorrraayyyyy! For diversity.

Hugs!

Hmmmmm bleach in a bottle? Does that mean you are not a born blond or just lightening it a bit.
I wonder if I have your face right?
I hope we get a pic soon.

One time at a comedy club there were a bunch of lunch ladies.
They were laughing loudly and having a good time so I asked what they were cellabrating. Nothing. They were just abunch of lunch ladies out for a good time and drinking on a school night.
So I said, I remember thinking the lunch ladies were all in bad moods just shoveling our mashed patatos onto our tray... turns out they were just hung over. They loved that. They sent me a drink up on stage.
They were really a fun bunch.

Laurie

Ellen is my hero! I wish I did look like her.
And nice try, but I know I am not cuter than Ellen.
Thanks for the compliment though.

I have to agree they seem to always have the good looks.
I think gigi said her mother is African American and I think she said Native American and some other mix, not sure.
I love diversity too, that is part of why I like our country. We have so many diverse races etc. I think that is why we are so great.
My neighborhood is very diverse that way. Everyone is so nice and I miss everyone just talking and walking by etc, like we do in the summer. A few more months to go and the neighborhood will look alive again.
Hugs,
Laurie

Gigi I just can't wait to see your face. I have had this picture in my mind and as I said before I do picture a very handsome you.
Those are beautiful mixes. Very beatiful!
I only have 3 mixes--- Welsh, German, French.
And in France I got spit on and called a Yankee, lol.
Many people did not like us over seas. We got spit on three times over there and told to go back to where we came from. I think for the most part people were nice though.
Once a year they would bring bus loads of peope to demonstrate around our Navy Base. They had signs that actually said "Yankees go home!" They would throw stones at us, so we were always locked into the base at that time for our safety.
We had alot of bomb threats and I was on the team that had to go search for the bombs. Fortunately we never found a real bomb. I remember how I would be so shakey inside after the search. I think I only took very shallow breaths while searching.
I guess I got on this topic from the French experience. I really did not mean to keep rambling.
Hugs handsome!

Laurie,

Nice mix! hehe. I am polish, irish, and german. We are just mutts I guess. I alwasy tease my Polish/Catholic mother for dating my Nazi german father - talk about sleeping with the enemy!

I get called a yankee all the time around here. Oklahomans know "I ain't from 'round here" as soon as I open my mouth. I think it's because I was actually taught phonics growing up!LOL They talk sooooooooo lazy around these here parts. I have to be careful to - it's contagious!
