I rented the whole first season today and just finished watching the first two episodes. I am already hooked! Holy Cow -- I LOVE this show!!! I am not a TV person at all, but I would watch this regularly if I had Showtime.

I took out a free trial to NetFlix in December. During the Xmas holidays, I began watching The L Word. At first, I thought the character Shane was strange. But, as I watched the series further, I began to relate more to Shane than any of the other characters. I guess that happened because Shane experiences something that I've slightly experienced before.

Enjoy!

I got email from Netflix saying they sent 3 dvds. Today I got Season 1, Disc 3.

Why the heck would we want to begin with #3? Should I wait on the first 2, or doesn't it matter? I thought they are an ongoing story that should be watched in order, right?

Caly, do you know if TiNG going to take up the weekly updates on L-Word again?

That's odd. I would guess most likely you'll get the remaining two tomorrow. I've never had that to happen to me. My first three DVDs arrived together. I actually have had good service thru NetFlix. But, I plan on cancelling my account due to school and a lack of time.

I'm not a person that likes to watch something over and over. I wanted to see Season 2 of Queer As Folk and season 1 of The L Word. When pricing both on Amazon, I was going to end up spending close to $200 just to purchase both seasons. So, I decided to save money and try NetFlix free for 2 weeks. I knew that NetFlix would eventually charge me $17.95, because it would take me longer than 2 weeks to watch all that. But, I saved money.

$17.95 verses $200 bucks.

I like NetFlix. I hate to hear that you didn't get the DVD's at the same time. Of course, as with any drama, one episode builds on the other. So, you'll be doing some backtracking if you watch disk 3. It's your call.

Enjoy!
