I know how hard it is to quit smoking from watching my papa and my mom's boyfriend quit but I also know that if you really want to you can. I always feel like I am preaching to my mom when I talk to her about it. It is funny when I talk to her about it, she says that she never wanted to start but her sister talked her into it then she got addicted. My papa smoked (no filters) for 58 years then 3 years later found out he had lung cancer and he died this past Aug when Jasmine was 2 weeks old. I know he lived his life well but watching him die the slow, painful death is enough for me to try to get anyone I care about to stop the damage they are doing to themselves and the ones they love. My Nannie never smoked and because of the second hand, she got cancer too. Hers was removable but the guilt my papa felt was terrible!
I cleaned apartments a few years ago and just about every apartment I cleaned had a smoker in it. We had to clean the ceiling before we could paint it cause of the tar buildup on them. One had drapes left and when I pulled them off I got sticky gross stuff all over my hands. It was so nasty! And the fans! Well, I wont go on but I am sure you know where I am going. I dont mean to preach but this is something I feel strongly about. I have seen it and I dont understand it! If you are trying to quit yourself or have someone in mind good luck! More power to ya!

No...No.

if you are a smoker ...would you quit smoking for someone you were really attracted to????

Hmmm...interesting question. If the smoker quit smoking because she's attracted to that person, will the smoker pick up a match when she's mad with the attracted one to get back at her?

so hmmmm ?????not this smoker.....guess I should know the terms before I ask the questions because right now is only me asking with no relationship as of yet.....I am personally saying that it is a perspective relationship with someone at least 10 years Older(for once,lol)...and no I compromise...or try...it would either be quit for good...or if was not bad for her, letting me smoke at work and stuff when she is not around.....really depends on if it bothered her or not.....and well as for when we are mad...would either be a grown-up relationship or it wouldn't happen....I am tired of baby sitting and temper tantrums,lol.......funny though...have a great one,Jo

Just sitting here thinking about my post on this and I said that Brandi smoked but quit before I moved in but I didnt realize that she smoked at the time. it has always bothered when people smoke but for some reason (rose colored glasses?) I didnt even know. she was talking to someone else about smoking and that is when I realized. Maybe she didnt smoke around me and thought it easier to quit? Well, I am glad she did. Another I was thinking about is my mom vs. my dad. They both smoke but my mom's give me a migraine but my dad's dont bother me as much. Maybe it is an emotional issue for me. Sorry to ramble... both kids are asleep and Brandi works late tonight. Mandi
