Yes, we called them push ups, that was when they would go up and down, and continue doing that for some time.
Kind of like Charlie Brown trying to decide if he was going to run the bases or not... here I go... here I stay...

Don't forget, when they auto rotate, they cut the throttle back to idle, and they have to pull collective in to cushion the landing. All of this is double danger when your timing an ocean swell. I prefer touch N go's and auto rotations to land. Something about it being in the same spot all the time, seems safer to me. I learned how to auto rotate watching my parrot fly off the balcony. TC was ever so graceful! Gee, all this talk is making me want to get into my flight suit! :) Too bad I don't have a GF to unzip it!
