Bush said what?

I was drifting off to sleep watching a Bush inaugural speech, of course...Then he said something at the end that perked my ears.....Did he say "Liberty for all Americans"?

He is such a liar! How can he stand there and say all Americans, when he is soon going to exclude us by changing the constitution. Are we not Americans as well? I believe he should have said "Liberty for all Americans homosexual exceptions apply". Or maybe "Liberty for all non-homosexual Americans". Does anyone out there in straight land not get what he is going to do?

Did any one else listen to his speech, who was not falling asleep? Totally dismayed!

Oh halo, don't get me started lol. Everytime I hear him say freedom for all or liberty for all, I just about have a fit.
I do not think some people include us as actual humans I think they see us as subhuman.
It makes me so sick!
I am telling you, if we do not fight this thing he is about to do we will be in big trouble.
Something needs to get started and soon. And I do not mean a parade with men in dog collars performing mock oral sex on a float!!!

Too afraid of people discouraging me. I need to stay focused. It's a long shot thing to do, and I can't sit back and do nothing. I need time to organize my life financially, and place myself into a situation where I'm not working full time by the time spring hits. There's a part of me that wants to share the idea, cuz I really need the support and encouragement.

If you can talk me into why it's a good idea to share with you, I just might. It has to be a great argument for it to happen. I'm not easy you know? ;)

I will keep you focused and help you in any way I can. After all, you out rank me and I serve oh, so well.
I will not need to argue with you, because you know as a veteran I would only support you no matter what. You know that, you know that is how it works with veterans and military. We take care of our own, always.

That was good Laurie!

Your comment reminds me of my first and only Pride attendance in Winston-Salem, NC (1996). I was shocked to see a guy dressed in a leather g-string outfit carrying a whip. I've never wanted to attend another Pride event since. LOL I mean, if little Winston-Salem brings out that, can you imagine Pride in San Fran? I bet the local news showed clips of him (frontal of course) mostly in depicting a Pride event.

Exactly rj, that is what I saw at my first Gay Pride Parade in Florida. I thought, OMG, I am not like that and this is what we have as our representatives.
They never go to IBM or what ever and photograph a gay person in a business suit working hard and paying taxes.
I hate going to those events too, but I sometimes have to MC or do comedy on the stage.
It is not so bad here in Indianapolis, the Governor, Mayor, and Congress Woman always attend and speak and tell us how they want to help us become known as fine upstanding citizens. We don't have a Parade just a Pride Day in the park downtown, with tents, and stages for gay performers etc.
Well, take care,
Hugs,
Laurie

Laurie,

Would you be interested in giving me some advice on a subject matter that I would rather not share on the board? It is about women. Nothing really major. You don't seem like a judgmental type of person. Of course, if I share this, it couldn't go any further than Sheila. I wouldn't feel comfortable with it mentioned on the board in other words.

If you are interested in giving a bit of advice, let me know by replying to this message. I want your okay before I send you an email. I might not get around to shooting you an email until next weekend if my weekdays get crazy.

If you don't feel comfortable, that's fine. Thanks!
