Hoping Sandralea is having a good day at her working job interview as a pet nurse at the vet clinic today.
Just want you to know that I am thinking about you Sandra and wishing you the best.
I can't wait to hear all about it.
Maybe tonight you can post a bit about it after you unwind.
Will be thinking of you today!

OK, here's what happened....thanks for thinking about me!

I went to my "working interview" this morning at the vet office and got to observe what the job entailed. They did a declaw on a cat while I was there. Well, as interesting as the job was I was hesitant to take it because of a couple things....it really doesn't matter though because I accepted another job offer about 30 min ago! YAY!
I got a job at the hospital in medical records, it doesn't sound like a big challenge or rocket science but it will be close to home, good hours, decent pay, and I won't get bit or scratched, LOL! The one thing I am disappointed about is that I would have been able to wear scrubs as a pet nurse, at the hospital I have to dress office casual - yuck. I am really a jeans and tee shirt kinda girl but oh well. Also, I think the vet and other pet nurse were family, and I think they were onto me too, lol. I am sure it would have been fun but I know I made the right decision for me and my family.

Have to run, thanks for all your support through this awful job hunting crap! Love you girls!

Congratulations, Sandra! While the hospital job isn't ideal, it sounds good for now. Good luck and let us know how it goes! Hugs!

Thanks Ting,
You are right it's not ideal, but in some ways it is. I get off at 4:30, I can make it to my daughters softball games, that's very important to me. Also, it's 5 min from my house - I can go home and see my doggies at lunch. I may even enroll in college in the fall, since I am off so early. It will be fine. I'm pleased.

Yay for you Sandra,
You must feel so much better now.
I had to watch a declawing as well and now could not take having a kitty go through it.
Cutting off their knuckles like that.
Well Happy that you got a job close to home!

Thanks Caly! I hope you have an easier time than I did. I don't know what that was all about? First I get a job in a week, then I lose it, then I am unemployed almost 2 months and then get offered two jobs in one day! What a ride.....I am glad its over and a stable normal life can resume. Let's hope anyway!LOL

Ya, after seeing that I will NOT be declawing any cats anymore. I could tell you more about that but I don't want to upset anyone. I have had two cats declawed in my life -I feel bad now.

I am so glad I got a job close to home, Leanne is too.
