Update, Sheila's injuries
31
Wed, 02-23-2005 - 7:21pm
Sheila has a concussion, with bleeding in her brain. She was allowed to come home but we have to go back in the morning for more tests and monitoring.
She also has soft tissue damage and pressure on her spine and needs physical therapy right away, but the head injury must be healed first. This is why she has confussion and dizzyness and loud ringing in her ears. I have to watch her closely for anyother problems as they are concerned that a blood clot can occur.
The doctor wants to monitor her head injury for a while because it is possible that serious problems can occur down the road until it is heeled.
All prayers and positive thoughts will be appreciated.
She has to lay still and take it very easy.
Thank you for all the prayers and positive thoughts. She really needs them now. (So do I)
I am a good nurse, but I worry alot.
Thank you, I hope you are all having a good day!
P.S. Looks like the car might be totaled, the car place suggested it today as did the dealer. I saw it today after I picked up the accident report. It, the car is very bad. It is so sad to know she went through that.

I want to thank everyone for your kind words and prayers. Sheila was so excited when I told her there were a bunch of posts here. She asked me to read them to her.
She wanted me to thank everyone specially. I am on dial up and that would take so long.
I do thank you all so much. I knew she would be happy to here from you all. She feels like she knows you anyway, because I always read her different threads and posts and she enjoys hearing about all of you.
Lee, do not worry about me posting, I have time to post here, and yes it does feel good.
It is what I do with my morning coffee and to relax before going off to bed.
I am glad that I can come here and write about things that are on my mind and to post to people who have things on their minds.
It keeps everything in perspective and makes me realize I am not alone. Sometimes I like to keep things from my real life family and friends and it is good to come here to write and get things off my chest.
Not that you woman are not real to me, but I think you know what I mean.
Thank you all for posting to this thread, it brought a big smile to Sheila's face and in her heart.
I love you all,

Hugs, Laurie Check out my new blog. co-cl of Lesbian Life Message Board Email- didoangst@comcast.net http://didoangst.blogspot.com/ http://www.4-lesbianlife.com/

{{{{{{{Laurie}}}}}}} and OMG {{{{{{Sheila}}}}}} I have been waiting all day to respond to this thread! Not that I have anything more to say than what the others did but....for some reason posting to this from my desk just didn't feel right (I'm a wierdo I know).

I totally understand your feelings when you saw that car, what must have gone through your mind, getting a clear visual of what she went through. I've been through that.

Please make sure she follows ALL of the doctor's orders (I know, I don't have to tell ya that),
