Is there a technowiz in the house?

Please! Before I go NUTS!
Okay, I took two questions to the Tech board earlier today, one of which a very nice member quickly helped me

Sadie, there are keystrokes you can use to perform those functions, like F5 and Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
Pieces of My Life
I use a mouse free laptop. I just highlight what I want to copy and past with my pointer by holding down the thing you click on while dragging the pointer and highlighting the words I want to copy, then I click on copy. (while not pressing the click bar. I then go to the place I want to paste and click to see my curser, then just click paste. And here you go. Just do it like you would with a mouse when clicking and dragging.
<*Help*, I know we have a few members who use mouse-free laptops,>
I am still having trouble with posting, things keep timing out, but we have narrowed it down to my server.
I am going to switch over to a high speed cable internet this week. I am still on dial up and it just is not working for me. It seems to be slower than ever now. Unless I just notice it more. But sometimes posting here is taking so long and timing out that it is insane.
I am going to try to catch up tonight. So we will see.
Take care and I hope you can copy and paste. Just remember to use the mouse pad like a mouse when clicking and dragging. I have learned to use my thumb to click so I can use one hand.
Take care,
Laurie

I'm using a Gateway, which is loaned to me from the college. It has a box and beneath the box are three buttons- Left, scroll, and right button. You'll most likely need to drag your finger across the boxed area while pressing a nearby button to highlight or tap a button to right click.
Might I suggest that if you can muster up for a new laptop that you spend a couple extra bucks for a laptop mouse? They are relatively inexpensive ranging from $16.99 up to $30. Here's an example...

Most connect to the laptop via USB. Since you have a new laptop, you should have at least 2 USB ports. If you don't, you can always purchase a hub, or better yet a docking station.
I have a small, older Toshiba laptop that now I only use for testing (formatting hard drive or doing crazy things to an operating system to see how I can screw up a PC). I purchased the small laptop mouse because I hated the small eraser button I had to use for the mouse. I now use the mouse on the Gateway while I'm taking my programming course.
Just a suggestion. Have fun with you new laptop. I'm dreaming of a Powerbook...

Yes, I do have a port for a mouse, which I fully intend to purchase this weekend! I have two buttons at the bottum of my box, maybe I'll mess with those for awhile and see what happens.....
Thanks!

I think I may have found a picture of your laptop on Amazon. It looks to me that what you'll need to do is place the cursor near the area you wish to highlight, hold down the left button below the boxed area, and drag a finger across the boxed area.
Hope that helps.
