Hi girls!
I apologize for my lack of participation lately, I lurk a little when I can but I have been having a hard time keeping up since I began working full time. I thought I would stop in tonight and say hi and give a little update.
First, I love my job. The people are great, the work is neverending, I like that. I hate to be stagnant. I never mind going at all, which is not what I expected. I am going to apply/enroll in a liberal studies program at OU for the fall. I want to further my education and the program is almost completely online.
My daughter is doing great. I am so happy we returned to OK. She was invited to apply for the National Honor Society and got accepted. I am so proud of her. She is playing softball and doing well there too. Life is good for my little (16 yr old) girl! Whew. Oh, I almost forgot, I am letting her fly to PA for a visit with my family for Spring break. I am really nervous about being apart for 8 days, and especially nervous about letting her fly alone. Well, her friend is going with her,

Hi Sandra,
Great news about your daughter, I'll send prayers up for her though I'm sure she'll be fine. She sounds like a responsible teenager to me.
Sorry to hear about your GF Jen. I hope things work out for you better now that you understand more of what is happening with her. I hope things blossom between the two of you.
I haven't posted much either. I've got so much going on right now that I have just been wiped out energy wise. Going through that blank mind thing where there simply is just no more room for one more thought.
I've been reading here though, trying to keep up with what's happening so I don't get TOO far behind.
I miss the board, it's changed quite a bit in just the few months I've been a regular poster. Don't know what happened, think everyone here are just going through a lot of changes.
In any case, good luck...
Hugs,
L.

Sandra, the only thing I can say right now is that I am proud of your dd's recent accomplishments. I really hope that she channels her smarts and her energy into something positive for her future. I also hope that Jen's health improves, and that you find happiness in whatever you decide, with or without Jen
Sadie, I have missed it here too! Jen has had a rough year, healthwise. We'll get through it together. I don't want anyone to think I am getting back together with her out of pity, I just finally realize there is a reason for the way she has been acting. I really want to make this work, I love her. I would like to hear your story sometime, email me!
Hugs,
Sandra

Thanks for the update! Been wondering if all was well.
Sorry about jen. My sister has Graves Desease too. She had to have nuclear meds. It was kind of hard because she had to take all kinds of precautions when going to the restroom.
Keep us posted!

I read about the radioactive iodine treatments, there are also reg. meds, and surgery options. My hope is that she is misdiagnosed. She has many symptoms of HYPOthyroidism, but not many of HYPERthyroidism. Graves is usually a HYPER (over active thyroid) result, not underactive. She had a sonogram that showed her thyroid as 30x's larger than

My sister had a lot of mood swings due to it. She is taking care of herself and it seem to pretty much be arrested for now, never cured though.
Give jen a big hug for me.

Sounds like my sister. I am sorry if it is Graves but I hope for her it is a miss diagnosis.
Again, feel free to e-mail me.
