Save it for an emergency.

Robin,

Going to school is always a smart thing too do. You can never have too much knowledge. It also helps to keep your mind off of negative things. I am going back in the fall too.

I would save the rest of the money for an emergency, as Kim said. Because once it's gone, it's gone. Hope that didn't burst your bubble. Ultimately, it's your decision though huh?

As for being proud of yourself, you should be. I am proud of you too!

Hugs,

Sandra

Thanks for your concern, but I forgot to post that most of the money will be going into my Annuity.

Futon- $50 at a second hand store

Windows- $50 at Wal*Mart

School- Community College

The rest is going away ... out of sight out of mind. Y'all didn't bust my bubble at all, I just forgot to mention my Paine Webber Acount.

Hugs & Love,

Robin

Cool beans Robin! I just recently went back to school (even though I'm only taking one course a semester, it's a start!). I think it's better to go back to school at an oler age, IMHO. Unlike being 18 and starry-eyed and itching to cut class to go party, we want to be there! Best of luck to you in your studies!

It's so wonderful to see you doing so well on your own, Wobin and you seem to be enjoying it too, which is awesome! Investing in education is one of the best things you can do for yourself, so GO FOR IT!!! You will feel so good about yourself when you have a degree under your belt or even just some coursework. Enjoy setting up your apartment too..being happy where you live goes a long way too in helping you move on toward making a better life for yourself.

Hugs!

Wobin,

My favorite quote is "Life is an never ending education!" The more you do to empower your self the better! Never ever be a pool of water that is stale and stagnant, keep the water flowing throughout your life, and you will grow and grow. Education gives you the key to open many doors...

I just wanted to join in with everyone and wish you great happiness!

Hi, Robin,
It is never to late to go back to school or start over. Just make sure to keep some money for emergencies like Kim said. That way you will always have a bit of a cusion if you have a lapse in between jobs etc. And always put something in that account even if it is only $25.00 per payday.
That will give you a safe feeling. You can go to school on some grants I am sure. Take as many grants as you can. I know that I did not have to pay my school loans until I was out of school for 6 months. I did get them paid off rather quickly, but it does give you time to find a good job. Plus you will have your other money in your account to help you live during the transition.
Do not spend all of that money!!!!!! Get the least expensive window treatments for now. Reward your self after school and when you have that job you are looking for. Right now is the best time to make sacrifices and have the other things to look forward to later when you have turned your life around. You can do it Robin. It will mean so much to you once you do.
Rj has come such a long way. You will too.
Don't worry about what types of jobs you take while you are in school. These jobs are just that, jobs, stepping stones on the way to your career.
I will be here to cheer you on!!! Go Robin, go Robin!!!
Big hugs!!
