Just a little update on my happenings;
I've felt like snot all day. I don't know if it's just a bug or what, but I did not want to get up and go to work this morning (even if I say that every morning, I really meant it this morning!). I seriously considered calling in sick, but Wednesdays are the busiest days of the week for me there, and noone does my stuff when I'm out. So instead of facing a mob of angry sales managers tomorrow morning, I hauled my butt out of bed and dragged myself to work with the help of my trusty Vivarin, a Red Bull, and a few Tylenols. I did recieve some good news though. The sales manager handling my car deal (the one sales manager I actually like) informed me this morning that the car arrived at the port via the rail car, so it is in Houston but it's just a matter of them putting it on a truck. Sales manager called dispatch at the port and got someone who promised to try and put it on the truck tonight. Right before I left work (after an endless day), he said he would call dispatch again and see where they were at with my Mustang! At this point, he may as well just announce it over the PA "Beth's car will be here at such-and-such time" for everyone to hear, because for the past week all I've heard from

"I don't know if it's just a bug or what"
H'mmm...just a bug?
I drove past the VW lot today because I needed to make a trip to Dick's Sporting Goods, which is near the VW lot. I saw many little bugs looking at me. I heard whispers..."Buy Me!" But, I battled those whispers with..."Consumer Reports says you little bugs aren't reliable."
Just FYI---this bug is reliable. ;) Old reliable. I crank up every time.
I'm cultivating a new obsession with the Honda Element. It looks different, which I like. And, it has neat features. You could drop a Coke in it and don't have to worry about messing up the carpet, because there's no carpet. :)
I have seen the Mustangs up close and personal. They're hot. Don't be getting any speeding tickets. And, be careful. You are attractive. You'll be driving a hot car. Need I type more? I'm older than you, I get to play mother.
HAVE FUN!

Okay, you've got me started now. LOL I love talking autos! ;)
A couple of months back, after having breakfast with the grandparents we stopped by a Honda dealership. A salesman came out...as usual. I told him straight off ( no pun intended) that I wasn't buying. We were just looking. He wanted to show me the Element anyway. So, I said, "Hey, you want to take the time to show this vehicle off to someone who isn't buying...that's fine with me."
The Element is neat! Not only does it look different, but it has lots of features. First off, it is no longer in length than my Nissan Sentra. But, it sits higher off the ground, which I like. When you are in traffic and need to see over other cars, you can have better vision for making those intersection yields. The 2WD is not considered an SUV, so insurance is probably better on it. The Element comes in a 4 cylinder, which would mean decent gas mileage.
But, there's more! The floor is urethane-coated. The seating is waterproof FCX, stain-resistant. The Element has stadium seating, so that the back seats can see over the front ones. You have all kinds of storage compartments as well. The seats come out of the floor and can be mounted on the interior side walls. So, you could haul things.
The Element is a great vehicle for someone who loves to go hiking, camping, or has dogs. You don't have to worry about something getting dirty. You can fit two mountain bikes in the Element with the back seats mounted on the interior side walls.
The 4WD is considered an SUV. The one that was shown to me was $20,000. Of course, if I were buying, I'm sure I could have talked him down a bit. But, I was just looking.
Okay, I promised myself I would cut the rug before I went to bed. So, better get to it.
