Caly and I drove to Asheville, NC, on Saturday to meet up with her brother and SIL who were in town looking for a house. It was such a nice trip, and we needed the getaway. We stopped

sounds awesome ting and very good,I am glad things went well....
I actually have already met my gf's mother and father.
Her mother works with her part time, and her dad is in a different town. They both have said great things about me,as long as we are happy...
they are going to support her move.Of course she has met my parents, and my aunt.
we went and met my best friends for dinner out,and this weekend we are going to stay the night with them. They really seem to like her, next weekend she is going to be meeting my brother, which is important to me....hugs to you both, great news,Jo

Sounds like a great weekend ting. Her brother has a good sense of humor.
I hope all goes well when caly meets your parents.
I would like to share a funny dinner thing that my dad said once when the whole family, parents aunts, uncles, and cousins came to Florida when I was in the navy.
We went out for seafood and everyone was telling what they ordered, my cousin said, "I got crab legs!" and my Dad said, "Awwww honey, don't be so hard on yourself, I think you have nice legs."
Well... we thought that was sooooo funny!
Thanks for sharing about the weekend. I can't wait to hear all about meeting the parents. That is always nerve wracking.
Have fun and take care,

You crack me up girl!

Glad things went well with them. Family is so important, and I'm especially happy for Caly, knowing the backlash she got from her mother, I'm sure this was very uplifting for both of you!

That is so awesome. It is scary and awkward meeting family especially if you arent sure how they take your situation. I thought my heart was gonna explode when I met Brandi's parents. I am glad everything went well and good luck with Caly meeting yours!
