Your ex listening in on a private converation between his son and his mother? Well, it sounds like something my ex would do actually he has done it already......that's just not right.

~S~, yes, bless her heart! What a jewel.

I am on Lexapro, and so far I have no complaints. I think maybe your son should cut the pills in half until his body gets use to them. I was directed to take half dose for the first week just for that reason. I'm sure the same applies to this other medication (I have not heard of it, and I'm sure nursemom is fast asleep by now so I'll call her in the morning for more info on that).

Thanks for the update hun, my thoughts are with you and your boys.

Thanks for filling us in, Cat!! I think things are going in a good direction. It sounds to me like you really need to catch up on your sleep, though. Do you work?
I still don't understand why ex has the kids when he is such a TOS. My one friend has a husband like that and it scares me to think that if she left her boys would go w/ him- yuk! You should document all you are doing for son so if you decide to go back to court to get custody you can show all the evidence that you are more involved in his health than ex. ??? Anyway, I will keep you both in my prayers!!

Awwwwwww ((((((((((Son, Lee and ~ S~))))))))))
I was afraid of those meds too, at first. They do make you feel a bit different. It is supposed to be normal feeling.
I eventually started taking them and do much better with them than without.
Many of the odd feelings pass in about a week or two, but he should call and tell his doctor what he is feeling, just in case it is not good. Some meds work for some and not other's and it can take some time for them to get the right (as I call it) cocktail for each person.I take the C meds he is taking and I really like them. They are supposed to be safer than say zanax etc.
One of Sheila's nephew's is going through the same as your son.
He uses his I-Pod for car trips on the highway and say's it helps some. Music can be soothing. My therapist uses it alot for me.
You are such a good Mom! His Dad sounds like he is going to drive poor son over the edge.
I hope he can get out of there soon! I cannot believe he had to listen to your phone call. Seems he should be greatful Son has you to talk to also. He certainly does not have Son's best interests at heart, at least it seems that way to me.
You are Blessed to have ~ S ~ in your life that is for sure! She is looking out for everyone to do what she does. Very sweet and caring she seems.
I can't even believe ex would think to make son walk to appointment! Ex is sooooo far away from understanding son it is sad.
You and ~ S ~ are very important to son. He really needs you to be there for him. You are doing great Lee. I know you are all tired right now, but eventually with this help your son can do much better.
Take care and I hope you can all get some rest.

(((((((((((Cat))))))))))) I am so glad you are so involved and being such an incredible advocate for your DS. He IS going to get better. I'm on Lexapro too, and it has done wonders for my anxiety attacks. I hope it will work for him.

((((((((Big hugs))))))))) to you, DSs, and ~S~

Cat, you continue to prove what a loving and awesome mother you are -- your sons are so lucky to have you! I will continue to keep you all in my prayers. I sure don't understand how in the world that TOS of a father got his hands on them. I really hope that changes before long...for your sake as well as your sons. Take care and hang in there.
