I'm a 29 year old single mother of three. I feel in my life I've always been confused. I find my self very attracted to other females. To the point I'll notice a good looking female before I notice a nice looking male.

I use to dance - and that was the only experience I had with another female. And I really enjoyed it!

I don't know if I see males just to hide the fact I really would prefer a female. I think having children really makes that choice for me. I don't know how they would react. (have a son 14, daughter 11, son 2 months) Does anybody have children? How do they deal with your life style? How does your family deal with it?

I know my father would be fine with my choice of a female (he is a gay male). But my mother would totally flip.

I lived down in New Orleans (where I danced at the onyx) for two years. My father took me to shows and party's and I felt so at home. I truly feel in love with a girl named Lexxus!

I don't know! I don't even know what I'm asking help for? I just feel so confused!

Welcome to Lesbian Life dangelwash!

Our stories are not much different. I am also a mom, and also a retired entertainer myself! As far as how I handle my lifestyle around my ds, well, that's a long story that is still in transition. So I really can't answer that one yet.

You have found a great place to hang out. Feel free to read this page http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-bhlesbianlif&msg=7061.1

Welcome to LL! Glad you posted. No one can tell you if you're gay or not. If you feel deep down that you are attracted to women and the attraction is not just a fleeting fantasy then I think you have your answer. It's hard to really let the answer come out when you have kids. It took a couple of years of therapy for me to figure it all out. I didn't want anyone to know at first, but during my divorce it all came out and that was a relief actually. My parents have been incredible about it. My exILs think it's disgusting and are worried about the supposed bad influence I will have on my DDs. You will encounter all attitudes, and you just have to be strong enough in knowing who you are and what you want out of life to be able to face the discrimination as well as acceptance. My DDs are 3 and 7 and don't yet know that I am gay. Slowly, over time, they will know.

Good luck and join in the fun!

Welcome. I am Mandi. I have been in a relationship with Brandi for 6 years now and I had a son Jeremy when we first started dating. and together we had a daughter, Jasmine. She is now 9 months and Jeremy is 6. He doesnt think anything of it since he was just almost 2 when we moved in together. None of the other kids in his school have said anything either. The parents of his friends all know and havent said anything bad...yet. I love when he draws pictures of his family with 2 moms on it. I cant wait to see what he does for mother's day coming up! Good luck with what ever you decide. It may take a few years to really figure it out but then again you may already know.

Very well said phoenixmama! I agree that it is important to keep our children distanced from the temporary flings until they turn into something more solid, and even then tread carefully.

I hope you decide to pop in again as well. You are right, this is a great place to remain anonymous if you wish, and you are just as wecole to join in the fun as well! I'm not sure that I've ever seen you post here, if I missed you at some point I apologize. But I am glad you decided to post.

Love your avator, btw. I think I've seen it before.
