Caly and I finally got to go dancing together! We both like to dance and have been looking forward to an opportunity for a long time. There's a local group called Gyrl Groove that sponsors lesbian entertainment events every other month or so. Usually it's a dance. Our Wed. night group shows up en masse. So, we decided to go. We didn't care much for the music but got to do lots of slow dancing. The theme was "Levis, Leather, and Lace". There were lots of cowboy boots, cowboy hats, and leather vests. I told Caly she *has* to get a cowboy hat. I love that look! I was thinking yesterday that I didn't see any lace, but then remembered a woman who caught our attention. She looked like she just came from a Playboy photo shoot! She walked in wearing a slinky, white lace number and go-go boots. That outfit was replaced mid-way through the evening with a flesh-colored sleeveless body suit thing. At first I thought she was there to entertain, but she was with someone. Anyway, it was definitely an experience!
I drank a bit too much (I seem to be sowing my wild oats these days!), but all in all it was a blast! I love being a lesbian! LOL

I'm pretty sure Caly's happy that your sowing your wild oats, too! I'm glad that the two of you enjoyed yourselves.
Hugs!

Oh no about missing the parade! Caly and I are going to Atlanta in June for their gay pride celebration. I'm really looking forward to that. It really does help to find some things to do out in the community. I still feel like we've just touched the tip of the iceberg in terms of becoming part of the "community" but it will come in time.
