On May 6th at 4 pm, I'll be attending the graduation ceremony at my college. I'm graduating with an Associate of Applied Science Information Systems. Now, I've gotten some strange looks from people when they ask me what my degree will be in. So, I'm listing in quotes the college description of my degree.
"The Information Systems curriculum is designed to prepare graduates for employment with organizations that use computers to process, manage, and communicate information. This is a flexible program, designed to meet community information systems needs.
Course work includes computer systems terminology and operations, logic, operating systems, database, data communications/networking, and related business topics. Studies will provide experience for students to implement, support, and customize industry-standard information systems.
Graduates should qualify for a wide variety of computer-related, entry level positions that provide opportunities for advancement with increasing experience and ongoing training. Duties may include systems maintenance and troubleshooting, support and training, and business applications design and implementation."
I am more excited than I can fully explain right now. I feel like Jack on Will and Grace. You've seen the scene where he has had too many latte's or coffees and he's talking so fast it is hard to understand him? That's me right now. I've had too much Diet Coke. I should only be drinking caffeine free products. Caffeine makes me hyper. Very, very hyper. I'm like a kid. Somebody probably wants to spank me right now. If it were the right woman, I wouldn't mind. LOL
Well, thanks for letting me share my good news. Believe it or not, my father sent me a card and money. My father hasn't made contact with me in years. I was so shocked. I actually was afraid to open the card. He has in the past has been verbally abusive. And, of course when I was a kid he was physically abusive. It was definitely a shock to say the least. My coworkers gave me a card with all their siggies and good wishes. I'm expecting company over the weekend. I could go on and on. But, I'll save you the extra reading.
Yippee!!!

Congratulations, Bug!!!!!!
Enjoy your day! Getting your degree is a HUGE accomplishment!
Thanks for sharing your excitement!
Hugs,
I'm so very happy for you.
Leave that diet coke alone though. We wouldn't want it to make you get too hyper and hurt yourself (break a leg or something). We all want you to be able to walk down that aisle. Congratulations again!
LOL,
Angel
Congratulations, Bug! I'm so happy for you, way to go!

LOL Hey Angel,
I had to attend a practice this afternoon. A girl actually fell as she was exiting the stage. They warned us of some areas to watch as you are walking up and exiting. I've been so busy that I forgot to try on my cap and gown. Duh! LOL Well, with final exams and work, a grrl can get all tied up!
We were told that the ladies should wear a dress. Well, I've got news for them...I don't have a dress in my closet. So, this grrl won't be wearing a dress. I'll be wearing my Merrell shoes, Levi jeans, and a dress shirt. Oh, my hair will be properly styled with gel.
Thank you! BTW, I'm drinking water and a Diet Sprite tonight.

Congratulations Buggieeeeee! That is definitely an accomplishment. I am also glad to see that your dad has recognized your ability, even if he was not a good role model in the past...he's still your dad and that card was important.
I'll be thinking of ya tomorrow!
