I'm in work avoidance mode, so I thought I would ramble for a bit with an update on me and mine.
I have decided to take tomrrow off because I am getting REALLY burned out. Some of it is fall out from the divorce, some of it is getting over a stressful work project, and some of it is just needing some time to myself. My girls have been challenging too. Have you ever heard of tantrums in the middle of the night? We've been having them at all hours of the day. I think I need to schedule a Super Nanny visit! LOL So, I am planning all kinds of "me" things tomorrow (haircut, trip to the bookstore, probably a visit to see Caly at work) in addition to a bit of laundry

You too huh? LOL! I've been bouncing in and out of here all day.
My next time off will be Memorial Day weekend, in Pensacola! I'm thinking of paragliding while I'm there this time (although a coworker advised me to consider how far I am willing to fall if something were to go wrong when deciding how much rope to use). I'll have my sis take some pics and hopefully get them posted!
I hope you have a wonderful day off, you deserve it!

Well I just came back from the gym and
aka
Ting,
First a question for you. On a couple of posts I have heard you mention this group you attend. How do I go about finding on in my own area? How did you find the group that you are in?
I think it's great that you two attend a group together.
I also think it's great that your taking a day off. Sometimes that just what you need to feel refreshed again. You also have to care about yourself.
How long have you been divorced? Me - it's been about three months.
What kind of books do you read? I have boxes and boxes - I enjoy vampire series - Fairies series - love books - well I guess I read just about everything I can get my hands on.
Please enjoy your day of pampering yourself tomorrow. Which I was doing the same for my self LOL.
Angel
P.S.
Hang in there with the kids everything well work it's self out after a while - just don't get too stressed over them.
I'll have to say that working out is something I really enjoy. I like the physical aspect. I like to sweat. I like to up my heartbeat. I like to push myself. I want to see if I can take it a step further. I like the feeling I get when I feel like I cannot finish a run but I somehow do. That intense body heat and satisfaction. And, the cooldown. It is hard to explain. Sometimes I'll talk to myself like a Marine. I'll say in my head, "Private, you sissy. Do you want to write home to your momma and tell her you can't finish this mile?" It pumps me up. And, I finish the mile. It feels good!

I'm glad to hear you're taking some time for you.

My bestest buddy Hepsiba knows all about tantrums in the middle of the night. I am not quite sure what she did to solve them, maybe super-nanny visited her?
Good on you for taking a day to yourself, I think it sounds great and something we should all try to remember to do once in a while. Hope you have a great day!
I've always thought paragliding looked cool, but I sure as heck wouldn't do it! Heights and me just don't mix! LOL
You will have to share pics if you decide to do it! Have a great weekend!
Hi Angel,
Thanks for your reply! I'm so glad you joined us!
About the group we joined, I just did an internet search for gay/lesbian resources in our area and found a group called the "Lesbian Social Group". They have a message board. I signed up to receive their emails and got several invitations to their weekly meetings. The group meets on Wednesday nights at a local cafe. We rent out the space, so we have it all to ourselves. One of the employees of the cafe comes in after hours and serves food and drinks. She's also a lesbian! :) It's a wonderful set up. Afterward, most of the group goes across the street to a gay/lesbian bar to play pool and have a beer. The one really nice thing about the group is that it's pretty low key. It's not a big party scene. People just come to talk and hang out. I would do an internet search for gay/lesbian resources in your area and see what comes up. You could also contact your local Unitarian Universalist church. The one in our area
You have always been an inspiration, Bug! I know once I really get back into exercising, I'll be addicted again. The worst part is knowing I need to do it but not being motivated enough to get my rearend off the couch to go. After finding out all my measurements this week, though, I've got my motivation!
Hugs,
