I think I hurt myself really really bad

I'm never wearing a skirt to work again as long as I live. They're nothing but bad luck to me (remeber the windy inncident).

I mentioned yesterday about the pain in my neck and shoulder. This morning it felt a little better but as the day has progressed, it's starting to throb again and I cannot turn my head to the right.

I completely forgot about this about an hour ago when coming in from lunch, I noticed a salesman and two managers in an argument with a woman who took delivery of a car two weeks ago. Her funding fell through and we have been unable to retrieve the vehicle. For some reason she showed up today, apparently on foot. I do not know the events that built up to what happened next, I just know that she suddenly took off running. Instinct kicked in - I don't know if it's my competitive nature or the dog-that-just-has-to-chase-the-cat reaction, but I hoisted up my long, tight skirt with one hand and tore off down the street after her (I am also wearing strappy three inch sandals). I could hear the guys behind me hollering after me, but I was already going. I did pretty good considering my wardrobe and physical condition. I was able to keep up with her until she got to a car that was parked several blocks away (not the car we're looking for) and the driver took off.

Once I realized I was not going to catch her, I turned around and was amazed by how far I had run. Fortunately the shuttle van pulled up and gave my panting, pitiful self a ride back to the dealership.

I got a butt chewing from my boss, who wanted to know if I had lost my mind. What was I thinking? What would I / could I have done had I caught her? What if she or the driver of the car had a weapon? Blah blah blah blah blah. She even said she had half a mind to write me up, but didn;t. And now three service techs and two salesmen have asked me out in the last 15 minutes.

I am sitting at my desk thinking about going to the ER because if I thought I was hurting earlier, that chase sure didn't help. I cannot move my head right or left now, and my entire right side feels like it's on fire. *ouch* is not the word.

So, what was the make & model of the woman's car that was so valiable for you to give chase? The boss is right on several points but she should reward you with a nice hot coffee one morning for employee participation! *G*

Hope you feel better the next morning. *SMILE*

Thanks for the concern ladies, and I'm glad I was able to give y'all a few laughs at my expence *grin. My days of vigilante justice are over, so I will not be needing a leash anytime soon ROFL.

Anyway, I called the Dr office this morning hoping that I could get an appt as early as Monday if not sooner. I described my symptoms to the receptionist, and she said that she would have someone call me back to set the appt. Well, the nurse just called and asked me to come in at 2pm today. Dunno if that's good (since I don't have to wait) or bad if they think it's something they need to look at asap.

I'll let y'all know how it goes!

I must attend a Droid Convention. But, I'll return awaiting your news in hopes of good news. I must go- Chewie has become impatient.

Oh no Sadie, it's right back to superhero school with you! Didnt you learn *anything* while you were there?! Sheesh, you either got to run into a phone booth and change into your lycra or do that spinning around thing and presto- Lycra! (and sensible shoes...) - try that *next* time, ok?

My goodness Sadie! What a picture you paint! It's so funny, and yet it's not funny that you're hurt. I sure hope you get in to see a doctor if you haven't already. Not being able to turn your head is pretty serious, not to mention painful. Get some help soon. And leave the bad guys to the cops! ;o)

Gotcha! But - my lycra super hero outfit has to be hot and sexy. I'm thinking an updated Wonder Woman getup. Any suggestions?
