I get my Job offer tomorrow!

I had my second interview today, and everything went very well! In fact, they were trying hard to track me into their management program, and become District Manager in charge of the recruiting department! I was very honest with the gentleman and told him that I needed to see how things worked out with the company, and that I wasn't really impressed with Corporate America! I told him that I don't like when there is a big butt in front of me, and I can't do anything until that big butt moves out of the way! I'm all for advancing as high as I can, and I'm not afraid of responsibility. I want to be paid for what I'm worth, and for my skills. At least in the position I'm accepting, I can earn as much money as I can, based on my personal production, and I like having control of my destiny.

After a brief conversation about the company, he asked if I had any questions? So, I popped the big one! Not to be presumptuous I said, but, when do you think you will offer me the position? He smiled, and said that was the number one thing that people don't do in a job interview, which is, ask for the job! He said in 20 minutes, is that quick enough? We both laughed and had a great time chatting. I'm really going to love being there. More pay, less hours, and no more Chinese overtime!

I went to my son before I left for the interview, dressed in my new business suit. His eyes lit up and he smiled and said, mom you look great! I just love when my children compliment me. Now I get to go out and buy new suits! Woo Hoo! Laurie helped me pick out my suit. I took my picture phone with me, and we went shopping! Thanks Laurie for the help. Don't you just love technology! Well, enough rambling. I'm off to Babes to celebrate! Good night all!

Congratulations halo! Wow, asking for the job - I've actually heard of that approach before but I don't know if I could ever be so bold. You go grrrl! I bet you looked *hot* in that suit.

Congrats, Halo!!!!!!! Sounds like a great opportunity.

The best interview advice I ever received was to ask for the job! It really does work, and you have nothing to lose by asking.
