Hi everyone just a quick post to let you all know that I am out of hospital, staying at Nat's until I am able to drive again.
Nat did come with me to the hospital and she waited until I came out of recovery before she left. She didnt come back again though, I had to catch a taxi back here but she is insisting I stay here for at least the next two days.
I did get the keyhole surgery done, it wasnt straightforward because apparently my gallbladder was very inflamed. I had ultrasounds done in Sept and I think I said that there was a stone jammed right there in the bile duct - I had attacks almost constantly from Sept through to Feb no matter what I ate and then they just stopped and I was eating a lot of things I shouldnt have been able to without getting attacks. When he took the gallbladder out, he said it was complicated because that stone was still jammed right there. The surgeon couldnt understand why I havent been in agony all this time.
My tummy is very sore and swollen, I can breathe without pain today and I am very glad I didnt have to have the open surgery.
Thanks for all your good thoughts and well wishes, I will try to get online for a bit longer tomorrow but for now I am taking my tramadol which will zonk me out

I did ask her that now I have slept in a bed made of rocks and drunk a cup of ants what stunt do I have to do next to win $50,000 and she said I had to eat the cats puke so I told her its ok she can keep the prize money, lol.
Flip Ven! What a nightmare...the thought of drinking those ants makes me cringe...you poor thing!
I'm SO glad that you've had the surgery, Ven...you take whatever time your body needs to recover. People heal at different rates, so you trust your instinct on this okay? We don't want you to go damaging anything because you try to get back to work too soon. Just keep in mind the fact that soon you're going to feel fabulous...that you'll be able to get back to normal; none of those debilitating attacks anymore. That kind of pain is hell, Ven, I know. But it's all behind you now, my friend. Keep looking forward to the things you can do once your better.
Sending you the biggest of hugs, hon ~
*spotting a little tarnish on halo...rubbing with feather duster....*

*giggling at the idea of Lou with a feather duster*
Not that I'm saying she doesn't ever dust... she is THE tidiest person going. LMAO... but the image of a feather duster also comes with a ruffly apron.
hahahahahahahaaaa...
Hope your recovery is going well Ven! That you aren't getting up to mischief with such time on your hands.
hahahahahahaaaaaa...
Glad you made it through surgery and are recovering well now.
Hugs,
Thanks Lou, the surgery was a week ago now and I am feeling a lot stronger, little pain and much fitter already tho the surgeon told me to take 6 weeks off work because of the nature of my job I'm not sure I will still have a job after all that time. The person filling in for me is only filling in, he didnt really want a job for 6 weeks! The heaviest part of the job is bathing the dogs so I am going to go back in 1 more week but no dog baths for a while. Its time someone else learned how to do it anyway.
I have kept up my fitness since being off work, my car wouldnt start- I thought some bugger had siphoned the fuel again but no, the fuel pump has packed it in. WOuld have cost me over $1000 with a new fuel pump so got the guy to put in a 2nd hand one, no warranty though but he said if it didnt look ok he wouldnt put it in. I have had no car for 3 days so have walked back and forth between Nat's place, the doctors and my place, 40mins each way. My washing machine died as well, arrggghhh, got it second hand from a little chinese man who has a shop in our little town centre. He said he got it in a houselot, it was 3 months old and he would give me a 3 month warranty- verbally. Neither of us expected any problems but now he says warranty was only for what he could fix himself, he is not paying to have it fixed, I've got nothing legally binding so I am pretty much screwed.... it will wash the cltohes only, no rinse, no spin so I have been hanging them out dripping wet- at this time of year it could take a week to get anything dry!
Nony-! You're a nut! *WE* didnt need an image of Lou in frilly apron with feather duster, thanks~!
And of course no mischief..... yet!
You just can't seem to get a break Huh?.. But yet you take it so well..
Yep that Halo sure belongs on that head!~ *Smiles~ and ((((Hugs))))
