I have a question to the mom's of the board.....

When you were carrying your children, what did you crave? I'm asking because I'm just curious. I've heard other mom's talk about what they craved, I was just wondering. Did you crave food at the oddest hours of the day and night? I just thought I would ask. I guess it's just the butch in me that wants to know. Some of you know that I had a girlfriend that had a baby for me(email questions only please), and I can't remember what she used to crave, but I do know that she used to crave them at the oddest hours.

I'm not being nosy, just curious.

Thanks.

Hugs,

Sebastian

With DD1 I craved junk food of any kind, mostly hamburgers and sweets. Unfortunately, I still have the sweet tooth I developed during pregnancy. :(

With DD2, I craved tuna fish and ate it as much as possible for lunch.

My older son I craved Italian (anything that was a red sauce)! Ice cream and pickles (mixed), Fried chicken, blue slushies (was my favorite). I guess I really just liked to eat with this pregnancy!! I ended up gaining a wopping 65 pounds. But I only was only 98 pounds when I got pregnant.

My daughter I was so sick for the first five months!!! All I could eat was Apples!!! I will never touch a apple again!!!!! Then the sickness went away and I started to go into labor with her. I was placed in the hospital 9 times during this pregnancy. I was place on meds. I had to take every three hours around the clock to keep the contractions from starting up again. So with this pregnancy food wasn't my friend I gained a wopping 15 pounds and my daughter was 6 1/2 pounds.

My baby boy was a repeat of my daughters prgnancy!! But alot worst. It was so bad that they had put me on meds. that cancer patients take to help them from getting sick from their treatments. After five months the sickness went away and I ate everything!! Egg rolls, cheddar cheese, mashed potatoes and gravey, chocolate pudding and last but not least home made ice bergs!!!! I gained 22 pounds.

CAT,

I know what you mean about the coffee. I love it so much and drank at least 2-3 cups a day but when I was pregnant with my baby boy it made me so sick!!! Just smelling it!!

Kid #1- I craved green beans and salad. I HATED green beans until I got pregnant and then I would eat them cold out of the can. I could not get enough salad either. With those cravings I don't understand how I ever gained 45 pounds.

Kid #2 - I craved Apple Juice and peppermints. I would stop on my way to wrok every day and get a quart of apple juice. It had to be very cold, in a glass, over ice. I always had a jar of peppermints on my desk. I can no longer stand apple juice but I still love peppermints.

Kid #3 - The only craving I had with her was ice. I was constantly chomping on it. I have recently found out from a nurse friend of mine that is a sign of a vitamin defitiency. Who knew??

Thank you lovetworead.

That's amazing how many different things that you did eat with each child.

Thanks again for responding, it's also nice to see you here.
