Please wish me luck!

I'm sorry that I haven't been around much lately. It's been a really busy time at work. I don't get another day off until next week. I'll try to get on the board some this weekend, though, if I have a chance.

Anyway, I'm scheduled to take my driver's test on Friday at 2:15. Luckily, I'm working in the morning on Friday up until my dad takes me to take the test, so I'll be busy and distracted. I'm also working all day tomorrow, which will help to keep my mind off of it. Needless to say, I'm really nervous, though! I just wish that I could bring you all with me when I go to take the test!

Does anyone have any advice or encouragment?? I'm in the mood for some inspiration - it makes me feel better.

Awwww...thank you! Your post makes me feel so much better! It is so sweet of you to put the date and time of my driver's license test on your Meeting Maker. I really appreciate your thoughts and prayers. I know that I shouldn't be so nervous about taking the test, but I get anxious about just about everything! I just keep telling myself that I've practiced a lot, and I am ready. I really think that I will pass the test. If I don't, though, I will retake it. I keep telling myself that I can do it!

Well, I'm going to go try to read or watch TV to distract myself. I hope that you are having a great week! Thanks again for being so nice to me! *hugs*

Let me warp you into time.......It's 20 years from now and you've been driving for a long time. You know exactly what to do to pass the test. In my opinion you already passed, your just going through the motion. Best of luck my prayers will be with you.

Hi Pink, if you study the book they gave you, you should do fine. Just try to relax, I always do best when I relax myself before a test etc.
Take slow deep breaths in your nose and release out from your mouth and picture yourself passing the test in your mind. Somehow that works for me. I always do it before I go on stage too. Your brain records and stores more than you can imagine so relax so that it can play the tapes for you when you need them. Or picture your brain as a very massive TIVO. Lol

Laurie

Oh, the drivers test! I did fine on the written exam, but the road test was a different story. I had to take it three times! My mother drove me to the DPS place each time, and I had to drive around with an officer in the car telling me where to turn while marking in that clipboard the whole time. The first time, I could not parallel park so I failed. The second time, I ran a red light. When I asked the officer if he was going to give me a ticket, he said "No, but I'm not giving you a license either". The third time, I still could not parallel park but the officer (same one each time) finally shook his head, siged and signed the release to give me my license! Whooohoooo that was such a liberating experience! Oh, and my mom was enthralled since she did not have to drive me there again.

Good luck tomorrow!

*Deep breath IN, deep breath OUT*

You can do this, Pink!

I too hate driving tests. Aced the written exam, but failed my first driving test. Like Sadie, parallel parking has been my particular nemesis. I ended up with my rear passenger tire on the curb! *mad, furious blush* But I conquered it in the end.. even to the point of being able to parallel park my long, extended-cab Ford I later owned (and loved).

Keep your focus, hon. Relax, breathe and KNOW you can do this.

You can pass that test, just take your time, listen to the instructor, and relax. You'll do fine.

Just believe in yourself, and you'll do fine.

Hugs!

I don't know how I am going to sleep tonight or get through the day tomorrow up until the time of my test. I hope that I am really busy at work so that I'm distracted! I talked to my friend Matt last night, and he told me that it isn't the end of the world if I do fail it. I have plenty of time before I go back to college to retake it. I think I am ready for this, though. I have practiced a lot, and I really want to get it.

Thanks for being so nice to me!! It definitely makes me feel a lot better.
