Ugh - stupid weather!

Okay, so it was beautiful this entire work week. Light clouds, not too hot, perfect beach weather! But this evening as I sit here at my dad's (where I had to stop on my way home from work), a severe t-storm warning has been issued for the entire surrounding area! Last Friday we had flooding during rush hour traffic, so it took me 2 hours to get home! And now I'm about 45 minutes away, but the thunder and lightning is really freaking me out right now. My nerves are gonna be shot by the time I get home. Poor roommate! Why can't this bs weather happen during the middle of a Monday or Tuesday when everyone is safely sitting at thier desks!?!?!?!

Okay, that's my rant. Now it's pouring toooooo! Argh, guess I'd better hit the road so that I can at least get home before midnight...(wish me luck)

((((Sadie)))) Hope you are home safe now! I heard on TLC that Houston was the thunderstorm capitol of TX.

We've had strange weather this week. Earlier this week we had highs of 100 with the humidity, which equalled a heat index of 115. Thursday night, we had an awful thunderstorm. Around 1,000 people lost power- luckily I didn't, but I live near the hospital. I very seldom lose power. Trees were down everywhere. And, debris was all over the roads. I saw some trees this afternoon that were fairly large trees split down the middle. Roads were blocked this morning with fallen objects. And, last night the creek near the YMCA ran over into the baseball field. Good grief!

Today, I had a sweatshirt on because I was cold. We only had a high of 80! People at work were running their heaters! Cold snap! LOL

Take care,

rj
