Plenty of Chickens, no Eggs!

I have to share this with everyone. Last night I was so scared and crying. It just seemed like the world was crashing in around me. See in my business, I have been getting a great number of chickens, ie people wanting to meet with me, but no eggs, ie, no appointments set produces no eggs/no income. It is with a great leap of faith that I'm choosing to do my business full time. However, last night I became so over whelmed and scared.
I spoke with Pooh for a bit last night and she reminded me that I should have faith. I found some comfort in her words of wisdom, however, I still was scared. I spent the night unable to sleep and found myself heavy in prayer. This morning a friend that I have been supportive of over the past year, reminded me that I had to have faith and everything will work out fine. I went into prayer again as I took my shower. When I got out of the shower my phone was ringing. It was a gentleman who wants to join me in my business. I had tears of joy and an overwhelming feeling of love from God. It was like him calling me and saying trust me you will be fine.
Feeling Love from God is a good thing. Next week I want these appointments to become reality so my chickens begin to have eggs! So I need more prayers to be answered.
Well, I wanted to share my joy with you, here's praying that he will over flow my cup with appointments next week. Thank you God.

Unfortunately mine isn't a pay ahead type situation. I sat with a women who really should have met with me two weeks ago. As a result of her delay, she put herself in a financial bind that will take years to get her out of, not to mention the amount of money she paid out of pocket to get into the bind. A few weeks ago, one of the people I'm training, asked her to meet with me before she made any decisions. Today, I finally had the appointment and the woman is kicking herself in the butt for not meeting with me sooner. I told her don't sweat what has past, lets just fix the future. The good news, I have a written plan to help her eliminate her debt long before she retires and it create a financial nest egg for her.
Once clients sit down with me they become shocked by what we do, at that point my business is easy. Getting them to the water is the hard part! lol Thanks for the suggestion, calling them would be great if I can get them to give me their number and if they set the appointment. You know you keep getting their voice mail etc. Keep throwing out the ideas. I like using the master mind approach.

Cat,
I really did enjoy the rambling. I'm sometimes short on conversation about a lot of things, but religion is my favorite subject! lol I'm glad it didn't bother you!

Maybe you could offer some kind of reward for scheduling and then, holding the 1st appointment?
Like a discount, or something?

Get this, I bought a book titled "The Referral of a lifetime" by Tim Templeton, in the second chapter page 13, "Think of the world as a chicken coop. We can go searching for customers like they were chickens, running around trying to sell our products to every chicken we can corner".
I purchased this book two days ago after I posted this thread! I cracked up when I started to read this paragraph and then I wanted to cry. The first sentence stopped me in my tracks and I called Pooh and told her I was afraid to read on. In a previous post I mentioned if only I can find a way to get the chickens to line up...etc. lol Then I start to read and the answer to my dilemma lies within the pages of this wonderful book.
Long story short, I will finish reading the book today, and I'm following his advice. It's already making a difference in the way I approach my business. Next week I have six appointments set and each one will get a "How Money Works" book for free when I leave.
"If we catch one, we can have a good chicken dinner that night, but then we have to go through the process of finding and catching another chicken". Sounds exactly like what I have been doing! Geesh, thank God people take time to write and pass on knowledge to others! This is a great book that I recommend for anyone to read whether you own a business, or your an employee generating sales for your company.
Thank you for the sound advice I will make sure I mention the free book I leave with my customers, in the way you suggested. Normally it's something I reveal during my presentation when I'm in the home.
