Good Morning, this would be my first discussion topic ever on a message board of any kind....and it's so insignificant, yet really not if you are the fly I saved and perhaps the fly's family.

You are a better woman than me! LOL I probably would have picked up the package, noticed the fly and thought "EWWWWWW", then put the package back and searched for another one.

It's sad but I think life has gotten so crazy lately that I don't even stop to think about things like saving a fly...sort of like stopping to smell the roses. See, you got me to think, so your post was excellent! LOL

Glad you're here!

WORM! That is awesome! I save bugs all the time. I even try not to step on ants! It DOES give you a great feeling. (I like how you even mentioned the fly's family...that is something I think about, too.)
I have always cared about every living creature...but something my ex always said, made me care even more: every single life is precious, no matter how small. Who are we to decide which are more important? It's true. : )
Have a great day!

P.S. I save frogs/bugs from pools, too!
P.P.S. In case you're wondering...I am the one with the Papillons. he he he!

This was certainly a good deed. I am proud of you.
When I was a little girl I had a pet fly named Raymond. I kept him in mt window sill and fed him crumbs. I showed all my friends my new pet. When he died I cried and all my friends helped me give him a proper funeral in a little jewlery box I burried him in my Mom's flower bed.
We sang, very soberly, "The fly is dead, the fly is dead." As everyone followed me carrying the little casket box to the burrial place.
Right after that we got a dog. My Mom still won't let me live that down.
And the other night I saved a baby fly in our kitchen. He was to cute. I hope he doesn't get into our corn.
Hugs,
Laurie

OMG!!!!!! Flys re the most diiiiiiisgusting things on the planet. I watched a documentary one night on Flys and I about lost it and from that day on I swore any fly i see is a DEAD FLY!!!!! I will totally stop what I am doing and hunt the fly til it is DEAD. In the documentary a fly landed on this Guys sandwich, and when they showed the fly it was cleaning itself with its own spit and a drop landed on the sandwich and they man ate it i almost THREW UP it was sooooo gross. They carry Ecoli and other kinds of deaseses, they aslo drop droppings in flight so when they fly around food how do you know you are not eating FLY feces KILL them ALL!!!!!!!!

That is true what kacey said if it lands on any part of the dish or food the whole thing goes in the Trash.
