Awwwwww thank you for thinking of me Lesli. Know that I will be thinking of you as you go about your day too. I am not sure if my prayers get heard these days so, it is nice to have you or anyone else to intercede (sp) for me.
I will keep you posted on the testing. I go have the radioactive tracers done today at 2:00. Then back tomorrow at two for scans and the biopsy. I am keeping positive as it seems so manyu of these things turn out benign.
If not then I will deal with it at that time. My Mom has been cancer free for 20 years now after 2 bouts with it. So, although it can be a wicked healing process, I do plan to get through it even if it is the "C" word. (Which I hope it is not.)
I will know soon enough what is in store for me. And I hope that finally I will have a chance to feel good for a change after 3 years of feeling so sick.
Thank you for your prayers.
Hugs,
Laurie

Thanks ting, thank you for the hugs. I will let everyone know how it goes. I am finally starting to get a bit nervous today.
As I said in the Monday moans, this can be a very treatable thing even if it is bad news. I just have a 50/50 chance of getting bad news since my Mom had thyroid cancer twice before. She has been cancer free for 20 years and so I do expect a positive final outcome. I would just rather it be benign and take the easy way out.
Hugs,
Laurie

We are all hoping and praying it is benign. It's a good thing you are being so proactive and have your Mom there who's been through it and can be especially supportive.

Thank you Pam. I am sure as a nurse you know that even with bad news this can be very treatable. The fact that my Mom has been cancer free for 20 years now gives me such comfort.
The Thyroid Conditions board has also been a great help and has me feeling more at ease.
I feel about 95% positive about it right now. The other 5% creeps up now and then.
Really today is the first day I have been so darn nervous, getting closer to knowing what my fate will be. lol.
Before it was sort of like, well ok we will wait and see, but probably nothing to worry about.
I guess it seems more real today having to go to the nuclear medicine department, and back tomorrow for scan and biopsy. Never had a biopsy or reason for one before.
Sorry to keep going on about this so much today. I need to stop the madness!
Hugs,
Laurie

You can go on venting as long as you need to. I know how nervous I would be. I've had that radiation shot in my neck and I wouldn't have this plate and 13 screws in my ankle if it hadn't been for my cancer scare. All this venting is a way to release that anxiety. We are all a part of your family Laurie and everyone cares and are willing to listen. You know that! lol
