You were standing in a long line for a good long while and a large group just cut in front of you as if you were not there?
Just curious because this happened recently and I just let it go. I was not happy, but did not want to cause a sceen.
It was at a one of those all you can eat buffett's and I was sooooo hungry!!!!
Would you say something? Would you let it go? Would you just move back up to your place?
I was slightly stunned that people would be so bold and rude.

I just had a major flashback to about 8 years ago.
I had just been offered a job, but I needed to get a new driver's license in order to be oficially hired since I lost my old one. I was suppose to start the next day, and the lady in HR said that I could just do the DMV thing the next morning and that they would not expect me until after 9am.
Well, I got to the DMV about 15 minutes before it opened (I think about 7:45). There were already about 4 other cars parked in the lot, and a small line at the door. I figured "Cool, I will get right in and right out!". So I walked up, took my place in line, and waited for whomever to unlock the door.
about 3 minutes till 8, after standing there for like 12 minutes or so, two white State buses pulled up. Two prison guards got out of each bus. By now there were about 20 people standing in line at the door waiting. We were all instructed to go back to our cars, we could wait if we wanted but we were looking at about 2 hours before we would be allowed in the building. Everyone in line kind of looked at each other, confused, but obeyed and went back to our cars. Once everyone was safely in thier vehicle, the guards unloaded about 40 inmates from each bus (about 80 - 90 or so) and they went in. I realized that they were probably getting thier state inmate ID's, on this day of all days. And best of all, they got to cut in front of everyone else who was there early so that we could go about our days!
I was FUMING! OMG! Since I did not have a cell at the time, I went ahead and drove to work and explained the situation. Luckily the lady in HR was understanding and she let me work, but said that I absolutely had to get this done by the next day. Since the DMV was too far away to go during lunch, I had to go back the next morning. Luckily that went without a hitch.

I guess that would depend...if this group of people are kids, like say 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 yrs old, I'll just smile and let them go ahead. What can you do with this bunch? *l*
If this group is a bunch of guys, I don't care if they are 14, 16, 18, 20 or whatever, I'll just push back in and grab any utensils with the food I want and start serving myself. If they say "hey", I'll just say "I was here first." Of course I'll also look at how clean they look before I grab any food they are near to before serving myself that food group. You never know what might fell into it with all that pushing and fighting for a place. I might even go to another area if they smell.
If this group is a bunch of females, which I never experience a bunch of females running to the buffet stand so far...*g*...considering all we talk about is food...at least with my friends and co-workers, we seem to talk about food everyday...*L*...I'll just have a look of surprise and smile and wait my turn. *L*

We just sort of looked at each other in amazement and shook our heads and yes we had to chuckle.

I had been moving some heavy tables to set up for an open mike night show.
All of a sudden I felt a pain in my back and could hardly breath.
I said, Sheila, I did something really bad to my back.
We drove to the emergency close by.
I told them I thought I pulled something in the middle of my back and that I could barely breath.
I was immediately taken back and put on a heart monitor and had everyone fussing about.
They thought I could be having a heart attack. I said no I pulled something in my back, they said sometimes that is how it feels for women who are having a heart attack.
I swear, I could not make them stop. I was in and out in a timely fashion.

That was quick! my last visit to the emergency room, I was having a panic attack (I didn't know it at the time), they ran all kinds of tests, and in the morning, they had concluded that is was a panic attack. So, the let me call my best friend, they checked my sugar level, gave me something to eat, and then they discharged me.
