Just wondering, has anyone ever been so in love with someone, but yet you knew the relationship was not really meant to be as life and obstacles kept getting in the way?

If, and only if she called me today. I would be very careful. Steve Perry, the lead singer of Journey had a song out it's called, "Foolish Heart". Do I still lover her? Well, I do. But it's not as intense as it was before, but there is a small opening for a chance. From my past unhealthy relationships, I've learned that if she doesn't want me, to just go on with my life. Life and obstacles are the two things that are going to happen, no matter if you're in love with someone or not. Obstacles should never stop love from happening, if anything the obstacles can be used as excuses, and nothing more.
I know I answered those questions backwards, but I couldn't answer them any other way.
Nice questions.
Hugs!

yes I have, and that obstacle was called... "the Pacific Ocean"
Did I try to hang on too long.. probably. Couldnt give up hope that the obstacle could be overcome, but as it happens, oceans are rather hard to move. First there is the finding somewhere else to put the thing, and then the actually moving it part...
I didnt actually do the letting go part in either of my relationships. I did the complaining I'm not getting much out of this relationship part to the point it became pretty obvious the relationship wasnt fair on either of us.
The woman across the pacific, yes I still love her and if she arrived on my doorstep tomorrow- no complaints from me! A song for this one? Savage Garden- Truly, Madly, Deeply.... (someone shoot me now? please? lol!)
The relationship I have just got out of -I care about her but I see it should never have become what it did. If she came offerring what she never did during our relationship I would like to think I would show her the door. A song for that one... ummmm... how about Queen- Another One bites the dust!!
Hi Lea,
what counts are what each partner feels, not the events of life. If two people so love each other, they get likely have gotten there by peering deep into each other's souls, worked out a balance between them that works for them, and are quite happy with that aspect of their lives. If other events conspire to interfere, you do what you must do, but a strong relationship will stand against all.
When one or the other hesitates, needs more space, etc... we should be ready and willing to accomodate this. If we then feel we must move on, we move on, but I'd never try to object to the expressed needs of
worlds undone
I have been..Ahhhh.... In Love and Loved someone(s)....
