only because I have supposedly given up message boards for one week. For the second week in a row. Oops! I think its time that I just fess up to being totally message board addicted. I think my biggest problem is that my *new* job is so crazy busy that I have no time to play during the day anymore (what kind of job is that, eh!??) and so I really want to play on the computer when I get home. But I'm trying to be more disciplined. The second part of the problem though is that I am bringing work home a lot these days; and once I get on the computer to work, I end up spending my breaks on the boards. And just as a btw... what is up with bringing work home?? I always hated the idea of doing that, but now there are just not enough hours in the day and not enough competent assistance to be able to get everything done during the day. (I spent half an hour yesterday explaining to my supervisor {the dean!} what a flash drive was and nearly an hour today explaining to my assistant what a web page was and also how to copy and paste!) Jeez.
Anyway, with ramblings like that, I really should've just updated my blog... but I really wanted to say hi to everyone. So, HI EVERYONE!!! I hope all is well with everyone around here. I may not post much, but I lurk often. (Congrats Jo and Beth! Y'all make an absolutely gorgeous couple and I am very happy for you both! :) )
Things are going very well around here. Amanda is a fabulous kid and really enjoying school this year. (Yay!) Kim is the best partner a grrl could ask for and we are staying very busy getting wedding plans lined up. April 21 is the big day and anyone who wants to make the journey out this way is very much welcome to attend. A very good friend of mine (ours) who is a former minister with the UCC (and now attends our Unitarian church) has very graciously agreed to conduct the service. My health has been a bit wacky for a while now: I am very tired all the time, I've started having headaches again (though no migraines thus far, knockonwood) and waaaaay TMI: {Aunt Flo has been visiting for

You'd all be quite amazed at Court's transformation from daycare provider to the person running the Humanities and Social Sciences Division here at the college. The dean is pretty much worthless, and the day to day running falls on her.
