Well, let's see... At my wedding I would like to wear a three piece suit, my bride can wear a nice dressy dress. The wedding would take place in a wooded area with nature all around. There would be music, but someone would be playing a guitar. The ceremony would have friends and family members around to witness it. Everyone would be in a circle around the groom, the bride and the Priest or Priestess, perferably Priestess. The rings would be made of either silver or gold. The bride would have a friend give her away, and the groom would have a friend give her away. After the ceremony, the wedding reception would be held in an open field, and when everything is done, the bride and groom would go to their private sanctuary and consumate the marriage. The next day a big party will go on for the rest of the week, then everyone would go home....

How's that?

My ex husband and I eloped. We went to the JP in a small town, with just his friend as a witness. I was wearing a purple dress my mother had made for me a few years earlier. Whenever I told people how we married, they would give me a funny look and say "why did you not have a wedding?"...I would shrug and say "it was no big deal, I guess". Thinking back on it now, I honestly think that was the best way to go. Sure, I love big parties and celebrations, but really not when the attention is focused on me. We did not have to entertain anybody, we did not have to babysit drunk guests and thier unruly kiddos, it was cheap, and most of all it was - kind of nice. Until he got drunk that night during our Honeymoon in Galveston and got in a fist fight outside the hotel with some guy (well, he says he kicked his butt, but he had a bloody nose, though he said the other guy looked worse).

Anyway, if I were to get married again.....this time I would want the people that matter there. My sister, my mom, my dad, my brother (assuming he is not incarcerated at the time), my nephew as a ring bearer, whomever she wants from her side of the family, and our closest friends.

We have talked about this.
We would both wear dresses and the works. The nails, hair, waxing etc. Look really pretty and sexy for each other. We both like for each other to look femme.
There will be no Hokie Pokie or Chicken dancing allowed, lol.
We would get married here with family and close friends and have awesome food and drinks afterward with a band.
We would stay and enjoy celebrating with everyone. Then we would come home and the next day go on our honeymoon. We would go to Las Vegas, because we both love to gamble and see the night life.
We would want to get married with our friends and family so we would get married here in Indianapolis, because all of our family and friends are either here or within a couple of hours driving distance from here.
We would have a woman friend of ours marry us in her church where she pastors and they accept gays and lesbians.
Even though she is straight we went to her ordination and she said to let her know when and she would marry us.

Hugs,
Laurie

welll hmmm.....whatever beth wants...her ideas sound great.I know it may be early and things but I know I want to spend my life with her just because I know.....she is my best friend as well as my girlfriend and well she is amazing....

along with her ideas.....I guess mine would maybe be???me in a tux?I always kidded about me getting married in leather pants, tight fitting ,a nice white shirt of some kind (thinking rock star wedding),tradational is good too....
friends and family...not to big,not to small....important people in our lives....
not sure when ,where and how,I think regardless it would be nice...and well remeber baby we saw the newly married couple on the ferris wheel???(something I just remebered, lol)

I agree with beth as far as a hot tub room and then next day going on our honeymoon .I would take beth on her dream cruise and maybe it would end up in hawaii....

not sure it would matter how we got married ...I think anything would be great and well most importantly I would be married to the woman of my dreams after it was all said and done....she is so amazing to me,...not really something I can put into words at all....

have a great weekend all

I had 2 weddings with Rick, and niether I was 'allowed' too express my own wishes. So, if there is a next one, I WILL be the princess and it will be done ( with my partner's input of course ) my way.

It will be in the Pagan way, outdoors with nature. I'm thinking at the beach or in
