books, movies, or some good music for the winter to curl up with? I could also post them on the web site for others.

I recommend any books by Leslea Newman and Martha Miller.
My movie list is way too long, so I will just list a few of the ones I rated 4 or more

Oh geez. Let's see.
Movies:
But I'm A Cheerleader -- hysterical movie about a girl sent away to an "ex-gay" camp. Played totally for laughs. Has Rue Paul sans drag as a counselor teaching boys to be straight. Also has a great soundtrack.
Better Than Chocolate -- Really nice romantic comedy. Another great soundtrack.
Desert Hearts -- I think this was the first mainstream lesbian movie that didn't involve the protaganist killing herself or going back to men? It's quite romantic and really well done. The plot revolves around a woman in the 50s who's spending the requisite amount of time in Reno to establish residency and get a divorce. (Logo is running this every once in a while if you get the channel.)
Books:
I've been on a lesbian mystery kick. Reading a lot of Ellen Hart's Jane Lawless series. Also a couple from Katherine Forrest's Kate Delahunt series. I more or less have just started to look for authors by checking the Lambda Literary winners for lesbian mystery and starting the series at the beginning.
I'm also reading a really funny one that I got from a friend. "Nancy Clue and the Hardly Boys in a Ghost in the Closet." It's a gay parody of the Nancy Drew series, making fun not just of the characters, but of the type of language they're written in. It's really really well done, though I'm not sure I'll make it through the whole thing.
The last book I read was Desert of the Heart by Jane Rule, which is the book that the movie above Desert Hearts is based on. But other than lesbians in Reno, it's totally different. It's a very literary book, with a lot of brooding about morality and life and such.
