A new family member!

I went to the animal shelter today to get 2 kittens. I thought about it a long time and decided I wanted a kitten, then I thought one might get lonely so I better get two. I have 2 dogs and 2 birds so why not 2 kittens.

Well, when I got there I didn't fall in love with any kittens but there was a puppy that caught my eye immediately. He is absolutely adorable and I am in love already!

I went to the shelter for kittens and brought home a pit bull cross. He is only 4 months old, has a blue eye and a brown eye, he is white chested and partially white faced the rest of him is gray/tan with black spots. He is fantastic!

My sisters are mad at me, they think he isn't safe. I have done my research and will do what is right and handle him appropriately. I would never put a human or animal at risk. He is harmless now but I am aware of potential troubles and how to best avoid them. I am happy and comfortable with my decision.

Oh, his name is Sid, and I'm in love.....

In my opinion, she likes to be on your lap, you are probably sitting long enough for her to enjoy your lap. And I'm jealous, LOL. And she just wants your attention, just like many other women wants your loving tender attention.

Being a cat lover myself, That's all that I can figure.

Hugs!

Ok, please email me as to what PTOS means. I wouldn't want to get the both of us in trouble.

11!

Holy TOS.

I love my new puppy, he's a chewer already - no destruction yet, but I'll be ready!

Thanks for the positive feedback, I am getting mixed reactions from people at work and my extended family. They worry because pits have a bad reputation and won't listen to reason.

Time will tell, they'll see - he is going to be a great dog.

He actually doesn't mind his crate at all. I think he feels secure in there. I think it's big enough to house him a long time. I hope. It's the large size.

He doesn't even "mess" in it. He waits like a good boy. I am so proud already.

He did pee on the carpet about 2-3 times tonight after going in the backyard. He is still a dumb puppy, he's going to need some time.

We originally went to the shelter in search of kittens, they just didn't have any we loved.

Once I saw Sid it was all over....

Congrats on your new kitty! I love them too.
