Hi Lori! It's great to see you. I'm so glad things are going well for you and Sandy, and I hope you will get the immigration issues worked out. Congrats to Sandy on her schooling!
I definitely wanted to reply because I had gall bladder surgery two years ago. I had had attacks for years but didn't know what they were until they started getting more frequent and unbearable. An ultrasound showed that I had two stones. I don't remember anything being said about my gall bladder being swollen, though. I went ahead and had mine removed because my surgeon said the attacks would just get more frequent, and it is possible that at some point it would burst (I think that's what he said--anyway, something bad could have happened). I had the laparoscopic (sp?) surgery done. It was painful the first week, but recovery was quick. I have had absolutely no problems with food or intestinal issues since I had it out. I'm glad I did it.
I would suggest you find out for sure whether or not the pain is going to get worse. If it were me, I'd want to take care of it before travelling. It may not be urgent now, but it could become urgent.
I hope you will get some good news and if you do have surgery, that it goes well. Keep us posted!
Hi (((Lori)))) Great to see ya post more oft.. So wonderful you and Sandy are doing so good together and am sending {{positve thoughts}} for the immigration stuff.. Yay! for
Thanks for the responses ladies! I'm kind of thinking I'm not going ANYWHERE until after the consult cause I was just remembering how scary it was when I got pneumonia during a holiday visit to Canada and although I was with my love and that helped IMMENSELY--it was scary not being familiar with the healthcare system, not having insurance and, being toward the end of my visit, having limited funds left!
