"On a scale of 1 - 5, where do you rank the Importance of Sex in a relationship and Why?"

(Remember you don't have to be in a relationship to answer this, its your opinion not your experience that I am asking about)

Awesome answer Jo!

You seem to feel about the same way I do, I would rank it about a 2.5 myself.

Thanks Cindi and thanks for stopping by!

I think I understand what you mean, that everything in a relationship warrants as much importance as everything else, so in that way, it all rates a 5.

Hi Beth, glad you found a chance to stop by.

I think we all agree that a relationship needs to have more then just physical sex to sustain itself since the opportunites for intercourse may not always arise as much as we like. *grin

I think sex has a different importance in a relationship at different times.

It's also my opinion, that if my honey bunny isn't in the mood to have sex, then I can always masterbate.

Thanks and hugs!

Hugs,

Sebastian

When I was much younger, I thought sex was most important, but age and hopefully wisdom have taught me that there is so much more to a relationship. Compassion, understanding and liking your partner are important to me now, so I'd rank sex at about 2 or 3 now.

I rank it a 5. Sex is just as important as communication and companionship. Not saying I have to have it all the time really, in fact deprivation can add to the momentum. Sharing your body with your partner is a powerful thing. It is a form of love and trust, and you are completely vulnerable to this person. There are things that are communicated through sex that cannot otherwise be spoken verbally.
