I am always glad to read articles like this, where sexual orinetation is becoming more open and acceptable among large groups. Although I do have to agree with this comment ;

I definitely feel this is a huge step in the right direction. In addition to her reason, I just don't know that I could take part in any ceremony without all of my fellow alumni. I am glad that other LGBT students have this opportunity though, and I would love to have one of those rainbow-colored tassles!

I agree, I don't expect special treatment, just the same treatment as anyone else.
I would have preferred a rainbow tassle though!
