Hi Jo!
Wonderful reply thank you!
Hi Beth! Thanks for stopping by.
I think that soulmates can definately develop over time. Sometimes you can feel a connection with a person but it takes awhile to move through all the levels and open up about yourself enough to realize the other person understands you so well.
I think I have pretty much express my views in my replys to all of you so far.
I strongly agree that a soulmate is someone that knows you better then you know yourself and from whom you can't hide anything even if you try. Its someone for whom you know you would do anything; and that you both feel the same way, so that the relationship is
>>>not a real definition of a soul mate you can read and understand ,you'd more or less have to see us together ,and see her from my heart's point of view....<<<
Your heart has colored me in so many ways. In a way I feel as if your heart's point of view has somehow had a hand in *creating* the person that I am now.

"maybe our girlfriends are our soulmates. and guys are just people to have fun with"~ Sex & the City.
I remember that scene, where the 4 friends are sitting in their usual diner sipping Cosmos and wondering when each would find her "soulmate". I thought those had to be the most endearing words of true friendship ever.
I think of many things when I hear the word soulmate. I have been asked throughout life what I considered to be a soulmate, and over the years my views have changed.
I saw a blind man once, walking down a busy street with his seeing eye dog. They came to an intersection, the dog stopped - therefore telling his companion that it was time to stop. When the "Walk" light flashed, the dog lead his owner

Beth what a cool concept! I definately think you can have a soul connection with an animal. The most certainly have souls too. I think so anyway.
I may not have this deep connection with Brandy but I do know when I got to the shelter that day and she looked at me, that I just 'knew' she would be the right dog for me and she has turned out to be all I hoped for.
I think you are reading something into my response Caly.

Ahh Ok
There are really great replies here!
For me, a soulmate is different that a partner or a best friend. I have a few very good friends who are close friends and yet others are not only close friends but there's that something extra. The only way that I can describe it is that our higher selves talk to each other, too.
A few years ago my SO was a soulmate. It took us years to actually separate after the physical and geographycal separation. I'd dream about him every couple of weeks, knowing exactly how he was feeling, what internal turmoils he was going through. All the things that he couldn't find the words for he told me via dreams. Strange, isn't it?
