Good Morning All!

Hope you all had a great weekend. Here's this week's query and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the subject.

Thanks to ALL of you for your responses so far. Sounds like most of us agree that diets are too difficult to maintain and don't always work.

I agree that healthy eating and regular exercise is the way to lose weight, but making those things a part of your everyday lifestyle can be a struggle too. It is for me!

Here's a follow-up question: Do any of you find that the balance between healthy living and indulging in the "bad" things to be very difficult to maintain? I know I do. Food is the one thing in my life that I have a problem moderating. I have an "all or nothing" attitude.

I follow the food pyramid and consume wholesome foods (whole grains, nothing processed), lots of fruits and veggies, and use portion control and exercise.

I feel that the word 'DIET' is a misnomer...Eating properly all the time is the key, not eliminating foods until a target weight is reached.

I don't believe in diets (mostly because my daily diet consists of chips and chicken). I believes our bodies are tools. Take care of yourself and you should be fine. Love who you are and as long as your body works in a way that you need it to (getting around) you are good. (I may or may not sing a different tune when I lose my metabolism :)

Funny you should ask that question!! LOL

I have been wanting to exercise for a long time, but by the time I get home from work I am exhausted.

Dieting died while I was thinking about it.
Sorry, no return address was given. ;-)
