Question of the Week 7/31
| Mon, 07-31-2006 - 7:32am |
Morning ALL!
I don't know about you, but I Hate the election process. I don't mean the democratic process of course I mean the 5 million ugly paper road signs that litter our lawns, and the constant back biting ads that fill our TV and make me wonder if anyone is worth voting for...
My question this week is not about your political views but rather
"What would you do to change the Election Process?"

I'd make district gerrymandering illegal.

Have to agree with you on that one Kim.
Well....two things really.

Gerrymandering would be illegal. Just because there is precedent, doesn't make it right. The debates would feature questions from real people, who would have the right to have a follow up question. The things real people want discussed would be discussed.
Ah...we can dream
Hi Molly!
Hi Beth!
Thanks for your input.
I'm embarrassed to say that I really don't know much about the process except for gerrymandering, which I also think should be illegal. And I hope that we won't have another fiasco like the one that happened with the Bush/Gore election.
I do think early voting is one of the greatest changes that has been made. I always vote early now to avoid the crowds on election day.

Hey Baby,
I have to disagree with you for once. To me early voting just give them more reason to campaign even earlier. However since they are going to do it anyway *sigh at least we can vote and get it over with.
Hey at least it will finally mean a woman in the White House! *wink *Grin
Thanks for stopping by Laurie!
