I hope those of you that are participating are enjoying our Book Group and that some others of you will give it a try sometime. We have read some unique and varied books over the last few months.

Its time to choose a book for September and get a few more on our list for the future.

We still have The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath and The Giver by Lois Lowry as possibilities.

Clan of the Cave Bear was one of the best fiction books I have ever read. I just cannot remember the author.

The Author was Jean Auel and the whole series is awesome! I don't think I have read the latest one though, her books don't come out very often.

Good suggestion Laurie at least in my book (no pun intended) hehe

Thank you Caly and yes I read the series.
You are one of the only people who I ever met who heard of it.
Hugs,
Laurie

Has anyone read any of Jodi Picoult's books? So far I've read two or three... I especially love "My Sister's Keeper!" Just a thought....

Hi Lori! Good to see you.

I am reading Picoult's first book, "Songs of the Humpback Whale," although I've stopped for a bit to finish our last book selection. I've gotten into the habit of picking an author and reading everything he/she has written and then picking another one. I think she would be a good one to add to our list.

Hope all is well! :-)

Good thinking Pam! I forgot how long they were, but I do read pretty fast.
I will go put my vote in up top.
