I hope those of you that are participating are enjoying our Book Group and that some others of you will give it a try sometime. We have read some unique and varied books over the last few months.

Its time to choose a book for September and get a few more on our list for the future.

We still have The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath and The Giver by Lois Lowry as possibilities.

Clan of the Cave Bear was one of the best fiction books I have ever read. I just cannot remember the author.

I loved the Clan series by Jean Auel. Science Fiction and Fantasy is my favorite genre.

Hi gbud!
Until now I have never found anyone who read the Clan series and now... so many. Cool.
I think I need to broaden my choice of genre's.

I also enjoyed My Sister's Keeper too. I have read many of her other books as well and haven't been disappointed in any of them.

I read the Clan of the Cave Bear years ago. I really liked it, but didn't get into the others in the series as much. My ex-SIL named her daughter Ayla after the character in that book.

I thought The Red Tent was just awesome, but you have to be in the right mindset to read it. The first time I picked it up, I just couldn't get into it. The second time I gave it a shot, I couldn't put it down.

I'm glad to hear you like The Memory Keeper's Daughter. I just picked that book up this weekend and plan to start it as soon as I finish the last bit of "Raising a Daughter" (which I highly recommend for anyone with daughters).
