more often than not, I fall asleep within minutes of lying down and I don't remember a thing until morning.
Lately I have been having more wakeful nights with more vivid dreams. In fact some seem too real. The other night i had a dream that I drove my car to the nearby river bank in the early hours of the morning. There was an abandoned car there, no one in sight. I got out of my car and started walking away from it (god knows where I thought I was going) and then got a very bad feeling, realised how much danger I was putting myself in, returned to my car and drove home. I had to ask my gf if I got up and disappeared at all during the night. She said she has more vivid dreams when she has a headache.
I don't think all our dreams are trying to tell us something. More often than not they seem to be a jumbled recollection of our experiences- somewhere we have been, something we have seen in real life or on television. I do believe there is something in that theory however. I had a dream that my grandfather, who passed away several years earlier, came to visit me dressed in full military uniform. He handed me a telegram that said my grandmother had passed away. That week she did.....
Hey! Good question. My dreams are always telling. They either tell me what the future is going to be like (weird, huh?), they let me see what's really goin on in my head, or the tell me something that i am completely oblivious to.
actually now you come to mention it... when I got my second computer, it crashed on me. I couldn't get it up and running except for in safe mode so I couldnt really do anything on it. I had a dream that I had to unistall a programme so as soon as I woke up, that is what I did and that fixed it.
I know you were talking about life problems but I think sometimes we need to trust that we often already have the answers and when we are unable to seek them, our sub conscious screams them at us through our dreams!
I'm pretty good at remembering some of my dreams, but unless they are important or significant I quickly file them away. This morning I dreamt that a friend of mine had moved to a new house, all equipped for his needs. Mrs. Thatcher was one of the house guests. My ex came in at one point, wearing his grey banker's suit, saying that he was being posted somewhere and would I marry him. Of all this, the friend moving into a new house is wishful thinking - if only! Mrs. Thatcher popping up in the dream is a mystery since I'm not a fan of hers. As for my ex, I really don't know. We used to have a very close bond, even after we separated. I'd dream of him and know what he's going through emotionally. I had stopped dreaming of him for a couple of years now, but this is the second time this month that I've been dreaming about him again. The first time he was groveling, asking me to translate a paper that he needed - in real life he rarely grovels like that! And then last night's dream. Weird. I think he must be in with someone right now, and comparing to what we had when we were together.
I often have incongruent dreams. I will be in a building like the one I work in now, only the people in there with me will kids I went to high school with and haven't seen in 30 years.

Interesting Poppy.
